Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 25 April 2015 Posted 25 April 2015 For me it's just that NP has gone back to last seasons 'go for it' style, a method that produced results at the start of this season too. I think he tried to be smart and make us difficult to beat, this negatively impacted on our attacking play, which has been our strength. Bringing in Huth has enabled us to be successful whilst also being less cautious. We've so much pace, and many teams aren't able to cope with that. We missed Schluup & Nugent today, and that nullified our threat to a large degree.
dmayne7 Posted 25 April 2015 Posted 25 April 2015 Form of certain players but really, getting the lucky breaks has made a huge difference. That pen goes in a month ago and our goal wouldn't have fallen for Vardy. Fine margins.
Charl91 Posted 25 April 2015 Posted 25 April 2015 What changed was it was shit or bust. We started to play like we had nothing to lose and that attacking and trying to win was the best policy. And it always has been. Today was us reverting back to the sort of negative, slow performance that has got us into this trouble, and we got lucky. I agree. We deserved to win the other performances on merit. Today, after seeing the line-up, it was clear we were going much more defensive. And it really showed; we scraped a win, and Burnley were rather toothless, but it was a much poorer performance to the previous 3.
shailen Posted 25 April 2015 Posted 25 April 2015 Taking more Chances A bit of luck Bit more solid defensively Nothing else has changed apart from that for me.
LCFCCKEANO Posted 25 April 2015 Posted 25 April 2015 Huth, balls out approach and my genuine belief of number one reason is the absolute increase in backing in recent weeks. Best atmospheres ive ever seen at LCFC home and away has helped so much, pushes the team over the line and makes them put that extra inch of effort in, as well as swaying decisions from officials and all sorts, which although seemingly small, makes a massive difference. Club has really come together recently.

"getting lucky" and "scraping a win" against a relegation rival that sees us out the bottom three and basically ruins any chance they had of catching us kinda sounds like the perfect day, to me at least.

st albans fox Posted 26 April 2015 Posted 26 April 2015 The answer can now be revealed to be my 'lucky jeans'. Against West Ham, I wore different jeans, we came to the match together instead of from different places in the UK (as is usual) and I was forced to wear the lcfc beany (plus an extreme level of unshaven ness and banana socks. Not sure about those though - could have been hamburgers). Because we have kept winning it has been possible for me to work out exactly what was responsible and it is either the jeans or hairy face. will be tough for me to be too unshaven on Wednesday but I can manage the lucky jeans! all those millions on krama and we only needed to spend twenty quid in TK Maxx!
sdb Posted 26 April 2015 Posted 26 April 2015 Huth, Albrighton and King. They've all made a huge difference. But perhaps the biggest difference has been Jamie Vardy returning to form. He's back to the form in was in last season which is nearly unplayable. Pretty much this - Huth an Vardy especially.
Guest Posted 26 April 2015 Posted 26 April 2015 For me it's a combination of these: *Huth *Playing Albrighton *Playing (at least) two up front *Players returning to form (Wes, Vardy, Schmeichel, Nugent) *Just a slice of luck Some can't have been helped, but others could have been done plenty of games prior. What's your take? This and not playing Konch/Simpson/deLaet Attacking.
foxfanazer Posted 26 April 2015 Posted 26 April 2015 Not entirely sure but I'd love to know what part our sports psychiatrist has played in this. The mentality seems different from everyone, including Pearson. We've had a few slices of luck that we were due and Kasper has pulled off some world class saves. The pace of Vardy is our biggest weapon and he is bang on form. Huth has also been class
Webbo Posted 26 April 2015 Posted 26 April 2015 Getting momentum at the right time. We went shit or bust and had a bit of luck and we've upward momentum. If we'd had this run in the middle of the season and then had our mid winter form now we'd be on a downward momentum, looking over our shoulders, worrying, I'm not sure we'd survive. Not that we've survived yet.

Dickov22 Posted 26 April 2015 Posted 26 April 2015 Things going our way more than they were. Bit more luck Pearson picking better line ups - more attacking Huth being a monster Kasper's return to the team Vardy getting a run of games to build his confidence, thus improving his performances
Babylon Posted 26 April 2015 Posted 26 April 2015 1: playing Albrighton 2: The extra bonus offered to players if they stay up - they seem to actually give a **** about staying up since. 2. Completely made up
