cc_star Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 I think Pearson rant about the ostrich was touch of genius!!! People focused on him and him only, he took all the pressure away from the team, know body talked about the team, the lead up to the game, nothing!!! Far as I'm concerned keep it coming! A proper Mourinho moment
davieG Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 By far the best column I've read on Pearson (By a Secret Footballer) - http://www.thesecretfootballer.com/articles/the-secret-footballer/25262/tough-guy-nigel-pearson-just-sticking-his-head-in-the-sand/ Unimpressed!
Fox Ulike Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 Fox Ulike, where are you now? Can't wait to stick the boot in but when praise is afoot..........nowhere to be seen. Erm, I'm here. Calm yourself. To which 'boot' are you referring? I had already agreed last week that Pearson's antics might motivate the players... DURR! Why do you want to raise up Pearson's past mistakes when we're doing so well? Pearson made an idiot of himself last Wednesday night. Nothing's going to change that... But then he apologised and so there was nothing more to say about it... until I saw your pompous post. You're more interested in being seen to 'win' an argument (which no-one else but you cares about), than in City doing well. Well, that doesn’t account for the mental distractedness that Pearson might feel whilst he should be preparing for Saturday’s game. Has his mind been 100% focussed on the Newcastle game since Wednesday? I doubt it. Anyhoo, I take the point. It might actually motivate the players… No, most of the "Pearson Out" mob have gone to ground. Can't understand why. I've never been in the 'Pearson out' mob. I believe that he made some sizeable mistakes in his team selection, substitutes and tactics for most of the season. I've been one of those who wanted Pearson to sort out his tactics and subs.. He now has done that, and surprise surprise we're doing much better than when we played 442. The fact we're doing so well doesn't change the past. But as I said to Strokes. Why do you want to rake up Pearson's past gaffs and re-discuss them?? Just enjoy the fact we're doing well.

Still don't mean Pearson did anything other than make himself look a Charlie last week.
foxer Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 By far the best column I've read on Pearson (By a Secret Footballer) - http://www.thesecretfootballer.com/articles/the-secret-footballer/25262/tough-guy-nigel-pearson-just-sticking-his-head-in-the-sand/ So is it the best article that you've read by the secret footballer about Pearson, or geniunely the best article you've read about Pearson by anybody? If it's the latter, you have you head in the sand. It's a right load of bollocks. The only half decent thing the writer has going for him are his contacts, and they both dispelled everything he'd written in the article.
Babylon Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 I wouldn't be surprised if Pearson was talking about critisism from the fans rather than national media, they are the only ones to get personal with players. Some of the stuff chucked at certain players on here, the radio and directly on places like twitter has been a disgrace. Vardy has taken a torrent of abuse (as he did previously) from people now up his arse.
GingerrrFox Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 Dave Kitson aka the secret footballer can piss off. He's the one who's a ****ing ****. No one likes him and he was a terrible footballer. Ginger ****.

Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 You are being hit by the 'I told you so's'. We played brilliant Saturday. Still don't mean Pearson did anything other than make himself look a Charlie last week. Find this a bit rich when in the Schlupp thread you have said 'me' when people asked who really thought he'd make the step up? Almost like saying I told you so.
Haydos Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 You are being hit by the 'I told you so's'. We played brilliant Saturday. Still don't mean Pearson did anything other than make himself look a Charlie last week. You say this but if we'd have been shit there would have been a lot of people jumping to say what a twat he was and how he cost us the win. Don't deny it.

CosbehFox Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 Dave Kitson aka the secret footballer can piss off. He's the one who's a ****ing ****. No one likes him and he was a terrible footballer. Ginger ****. A click bait article basically. Making tons of money now after copyrighting a load of images for their use on clothing.

filbertway Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 The player is definitely Nugent with that scouse reply. Decent laaaa
Carl the Llama Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 By far the best column I've read on Pearson (By a Secret Footballer) - http://www.thesecretfootballer.com/articles/the-secret-footballer/25262/tough-guy-nigel-pearson-just-sticking-his-head-in-the-sand/ Mate that whole website's a joke. So a cliquey group of self-declared pundits who don't think any of our players merited inclusion in their team of the week (the only website I've seen to do so this week) also happen to release a surprisingly long winded article which slams our manager with a seriously misguided fixation on the idea that he "thinks he's tough but isn't" instead of explaining why he's a bad manager (he isn't). So fvcking what.
MC Prussian Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 Which is obviously one of the reasons why he shouldn't have made such a plum of himself in the first place. He can make himself look like a plum as much as he wants to for all I care - as long as he continues to expose some of the worst media hypocrites along the way, so be it.
ousefox Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 That secret footballer article is woeful. He sometimes writes some interesting stuff, but wow.
dmayne7 Posted 6 May 2015 Posted 6 May 2015 I've just had this response to my complaint: Dear Mr Mayne Reference CAS-3289819-7TLCXJ Thank you for your comments about Pat Murphy’s interview with Leicester City Manager, Nigel Pearson. I understand you’re unhappy with the interview and I’m sorry you have had to take the time to contact us on this occasion. We’re naturally very sorry when we hear from any audience members who are unhappy with aspects of the service provided. That said Pat Murphy’s job as a journalist is to ask questions about editorially relevant issues which will interest the audience. Nigel Pearson’s recent behaviour – in particular his comments to a journalist in the previous day’s press conference – was a legitimate area of inquiry and had elicited a significant amount of audience interest. While Pat’s questioning of Nigel Pearson was certainly robust and challenging, it was not intended to be rude – and Pat remained calm and courteous throughout the press conference. It should be noted your feedback is very important to us and as such I have placed your concerns on an overnight report. This is a document which is made available to senior staff, sport editors and news teams across the BBC. Audience feedback helps to guide us and allows us find congruence between our output and audience expectations. It also means your comments can be seen quickly and can be consulted in future broadcasting and policy decisions. Richard Burgess Head of Sport News and Radio Sport So calling somebody a bully, paranoid and suggesting they need anger management is courteous. Kind regards
Foxymcoxy Posted 6 May 2015 Posted 6 May 2015 Damn, you got a bigwig replying to yours. I got a response from Paul in the complaints department.

Kind regards Pearson can look after himself remember, Pearson isn't innocent in all this, if you talk to people in the way he does, he will be spoken in the same manner.Pearson has made a target of himself with the press, his behaviour at times hasn't been the best, and I would say odd, and it's clear the press know how to push his buttons, and they know it. Pearson needs to learn to answer questions he doesn't like, without resorting to it like he has, stop reacting aggressively, the press will soon get bored.
Flyfox Posted 6 May 2015 Posted 6 May 2015 Can't see what the issue is with Pat Murphy. His questioning was balanced, factual and constructive; in stark on yeast to NP's responses.
Carl the Llama Posted 6 May 2015 Posted 6 May 2015 Can't see what the issue is with Pat Murphy. His questioning was balanced, factual and constructive; in stark on yeast to NP's responses. Asking "have you considered anger management" is not "balanced, factual and constructive", it's condescending, inflammatory, and rude. Now that's a "stark on yeast" for you.

I said that I understand its PM's prerogative to ask these types of questions and that Nigel Pearson didn't help himself. I simply felt the continued character assassination and derogatory comments, went beyond what happened the day before.

Flyfox Posted 6 May 2015 Posted 6 May 2015 my point is that yes, he took a fairly challenging approach but this was balanced with praise for NP and the club. Fair?
