Foxhateram Posted 1 May 2015 Posted 1 May 2015 Nigel Pearson Pearson may be a "top notch guy away from the cameras", as wronged journalist Ian Baker claimed, but that doesn't change the fact that he seems a bit of an arse in front of them. A complete arse, actually. Pearson has now verbally attacked Baker, called another journalist a pr**k, grabbed James McArthur round the throat and told a Leicester supporter to "f**k off and die." How to lose friends and alienate people. The sad conclusion is that Pearson's behaviour instantly makes Leicester more difficult to warm to. Lose at home to Newcastle on Saturday and there will be few apologising for their wry smiles. http://www.football365.com/big-weekend/9829642/Big-Weekend Fairly spot on in my opinion - we have only come out of this looking badly. As mentioned, if this was a manager of another team I've no doubt that many more of you would be in agreement. Why have you posted that crap on here? He isn't spot on at all. Pearson defended our players against Baker's negative critisicism and prior to that Stringer's constant negativity. The F off and die comment was resolved, it turned out a very personal thing had been said to Pearson. The James Mccarthur situation was a joke as they know each other from outside of football. As for the p*ick comment, again he was sticking up for our club and players. I seriously can't believe people who supposedly back our club, are criticising our manager for protecting our young team from the media, if it was o'neil out there, he would be a mastermind for distracting the attention away from the team. Come on folks. Sort yourselves out.

Come on folks. Sort yourselves out. You need to sort yourself out bud. There's defending our players (admirable), then there's what Pearson did and said (and how he said it) I have literally not met anyone (who isn't on this forum) who has thought anything other than Pearson's over-reaction as bizarre. Of course you defend your own players. That goes with the territory. If you are suggesting that Pearson did this in anything other than a very extravagant way, you need to take a long, hard look at yourself. It's clear that Nigel has a real issue with the media, when they question him or his players. Without a doubt, he has been the most bizarre manager in the Premiership this season, in terms of his antics with the media. I love his passion for his players. But I find his media persona....just strange. It is strange because, outside of the media, he's apparently one of the best blokes you ever will meet. I guess that's why the players seem to love him. A real Jekyll and Hyde type character when it comes to media attention.

It's a matter of sticking by your own and him being correct in his theory, there has been some totally uncalled for antics going on at Radio Leicester at least so to suggest there hasn't been criticism and to ask him a dead end question like give specifics is bound to wind him up.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 1 May 2015 Posted 1 May 2015 I have literally not met anyone (who isn't on this forum) who has thought anything other than Pearson's over-reaction as bizarre. You know when you say things like "my mate down the pub agrees with me" - it doesn't add any weight to your argument. Taken out of context which this definitely has been, just blurting out "You are an ostrich" is just about the most bizarre thing one could possibly say. But when you take the 3 minutes of dialogue prior (and of course the months of criticism of the team, much of it unresearched and unfair) he's well within his rights to say what he did. Foxhateram has it nailed - so many of Nige's actions have been blown out of proportion this season. The FOAD "victim" got what he deserved (and I hope anyone else shouting personal bullshit at Pearson gets the same), the McCarthur "incident" was so clearly nothing malicious, and digs at reporters have been the result of us getting garbage reported about us left right and centre. I hope Nige has something special lined up for Pat Murphy and his fat mouth, the self-centred arsewipe
Nalis Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 Like many others, I couldn't care less about his behaviour as long as the team are doing it on the pitch ( which they are). If we were still shite then maybe this would matter.
dannyjpage Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 Many thanks to the person who posted the bbc complaint link. I am parked up ready for today's game and have also wrote and submitted a complaint. The media are like a pack of wolves and Pat Murphy should in my opinion be put in the stocks and Pearson handed the eggs.
Guest Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 did anyone in this thread point out that ostriches actually don't bury their heads in the sand? I was going to but thought it a waste of time. Those that don't believe it won't change their minds and those that know it don't need telling.
aussie-fox Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 we have to be honest and say that in press conferences he comes across as such a f***head and is cringe-worthy to watch. he's like a little brat of a kid! But he's our manager and i bloody love him!
Haydos Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 Turns out he's played a bit of a blinder then.... Nah, let every keep saying it's a distraction and it brings unnecessary attention on us. Clearly the players are still fighting for Nige and don't give a single shit, it's great to see.
Izzy Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 Turns out he's played a bit of a blinder then.... All part of Pearson's 'master plan'. All the focus on him and the players went out there with total freedom to perform today. Genius

sylofox Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 I personally don't give a fvck what NP say's it is all about the football and staying up to me.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 I personally don't give a fvck what NP say's it is all about the football and staying up to me. Absolutely, and today proved that the players don't care either, they are fully behind him and that is what Pearson does, ensures he has great respect from all players
Strokes Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 Fox Ulike, where are you now? Can't wait to stick the boot in but when praise is afoot..........nowhere to be seen.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 When's Manager of the Month announced? He should do, would be interesting if they decide to not give it to him
Captain... Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 Having just seen Carver accuse one of his own players of getting sent off on purpose, I am much more in favour of Pearson attacking the press as he would never ever hang out one of his players like that. Pretty poor from Carver and could cost him the dressing room, if not his job.
LanguedocFox Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 Fox Ulike, where are you now? Can't wait to stick the boot in but when praise is afoot..........nowhere to be seen. No, most of the "Pearson Out" mob have gone to ground. Can't understand why.
