Arriba Los Zorros Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 thank fook we won and boosted GD, given other scores today
Tielemans63 Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 Shame Everton and Southampton didn't turn up today. Useless feckers.
yorkie1999 Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 After their display and their fans reaction to the players at full time , I can see Newcastle going down and Sunderland staying up.
Leicesterpool Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 Terrific performance all round, I honestly can't think of any negatives out of today's game we were simply faultless. Vardy didn't half tore the Newcastle defence to shreds, they were truly awful no wonder they've been pulled back into the relegation scrap, I mean losing eight on the trot is abysmal. Any other team the manager would have been sacked after five straight defeats, but because Ashley is in charge... So back to the match really proud of the lads today, Ulloa was my man of the match he was kept busy, not just scoring goals but winning headers and setting up chances for Vardy. I think the vital thing about the win today was the very early goal, it really lifted the team and was no doubt a sucker bunch for Newcastle very early on, as daft as it sounds you could tell Newcastle were going to lose after that. Atmosphere was 100% once again. Does anyone think Newcastle will go down? Shame that Sunderland won, that is only the sad thing about today's match.
Robin JD Popley Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 MARC ALBRIGHTON. His assists were exceptional and his all round contribution today was second to none; make no bones about it - his return to the first team (as we all predicted) has had a massive impact on our recent upturn in fortune. Well done lads, super display (just wish we could have scored at least one more!) Also, well done to Union FS for organising that pre-match display in the Kop and elsewhere. Really set us all off on the right foot, fantastic atmosphere again! N.B. Newcastle are without a doubt the shittest team I have seen at the King Power since Wimbledon visited in our first season at our new home. I thought Villa couldn't be overtaken as the worst in this league but by god, Newcastle are a whole new level of merde. If they stay up, it would be a great injustice to that third team who go down (hopefully not us!)
weller54 Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 If wba need a result next week they'll beat Newcastle... We just need to concentrate on Southampton!... Which is extremely winnable!
Webbo Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 Anyone else feel sorry for John Carver? A decent bloke and a proper fan, he's been left to take the fall for Fat Ashley.
EnglishOxide Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 they were truly awful no wonder they've been pulled back into the relegation scrap, I mean losing eight on the trot is abysmal. Any other team the manager would have been sacked after five straight defeats, but because Ashley is in charge... Nige has been involved in similar runs. We have stuck with him and are now seeing the benefits. There's a lot of stuff wrong with Newcastle, but I don't think their current run rests solely on his shoulders. Its Ashley for his under investment and lack of ambition Its the fans for not giving their team full backing in spite of the above over the last couple of years And now its the players who seem to have given up entirely on Newcastle All that should be taken into account before discussing Carver.
Dan Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 We were very decent again. Newcastle by a mile the worst side to come here this season. If this lot somehow beat the drop then the league has hit its lowest ever point. Ulloa, Albrighton, Vardy, Wasilewski and James my contenders for MOTM today, with Ulloa probably winning.
The Guvnor Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 Just got back and so pleased I managed to get tickets for this one. fantastic atmosphere and quick first goal was just what we needed, a fantastic effort by the lad's, Newcastle just couldn't cope with Vardy's pace. Newcastle are in a world of sh^t, John Carvers post match interview was damning towards his team and I can honestly see them going down so QPR, Burnley and the Geordies for me so have a drink and chill people.
Corky Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 Thoroughly enjoyable day, great work with the tifo display, incredible start, set pieces were top notch and the second half was a joy to watch. Newcastle were, and are, terrible but still have to be beaten and we managed it comprehensively. Impressive stuff after a remarkable month of football. Need three more big performances and we can improve on this next season. Well done to all today, the fans were excellent once again.

The bloke's a dickhead. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/32565776 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/32460323 I rest my case.

theessexfox Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 Brilliant day, lovely to win at a canter. Good team performance but we were far from our best today, should've scored more and we've been better defensively. However, we didn't have to be at our best to win well and it's brilliant being a City fan right now! In contrast, imagine being a Newcastle fan. Feel for their supporters, absolute joke of a club, woeful performance, disgrace to their club and the league. Superb atmosphere as usual, display pre-match was class so well done on that.

Yeah we did have a bad run but we never lost any more than four games on the trot. The problems at Newcastle are both off the field and on the field, you could say its a similar situation at Villa but they took action and turned things round. To be honest looking at that Newcastle team sheet there isn't many bad players there, its a team that's being played wrong and low in confidence.
