weller54 Posted 10 May 2015 Posted 10 May 2015 ....thoughts of our final game of the season... Has it changed after their performance against Man City and their relegation?
Webbo Posted 10 May 2015 Posted 10 May 2015 Depends if we still need anything from the game. If we do the pressure will be on us, QPR can play with a bit of freedom. If we don't need any points the players could be in holiday mode. In short, who knows?
st albans fox Posted 10 May 2015 Posted 10 May 2015 I expect they will perform decently next week at home. Against us, it depends how intense we are. Look at poor Matty - no one wants something like that to happen to them last game. If we really fancy it, they probably won't.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 10 May 2015 Posted 10 May 2015 Doesn't change a thing. If we don't perform we won't win.
johnny the fox Posted 10 May 2015 Posted 10 May 2015 looks like caulker has a dodgy hamstring so might be out... which is a blow for us....
Matt Posted 10 May 2015 Posted 10 May 2015 At the end of the day it depends if anythings needed from it for us. If we do need something in the game, despite who the other teams have got around us it will be nervy. QPR are poor, they've shocked me today, abit like Newcastle shocked me when we played them, I knew both teams were poor but I didn't realise they were that poor. If there is nothing on the game i'll be confident we'll batter them but if we need something I wouldn't be as confident - That's not knocking our lads because in the last month or two they've been brilliant and proved me wrong, very wrong. But it's just natural (Or it is for me ) to be nervous if the situation was that we needed something regardless of who we are playing.
LCCFox96 Posted 10 May 2015 Posted 10 May 2015 Depends on the context of the game, something we won't know until the FT whistle against Sunderland next weekend.
weller54 Posted 10 May 2015 Author Posted 10 May 2015 But, witnessing today's debacle do you honestly believe there's a fighting performance left in them????
LanguedocFox Posted 10 May 2015 Posted 10 May 2015 I think Pearson will want to end the season with another four-wins-on-the trot, so am looking for wins against Sunderland and QPR: it will provide the perfect platform for next season. In any case, I don't think Pearson will let our players go on holiday early: it's not his style. He'll probably tell them to keep out of trouble, and just do the job - maybe beat them 2-0 or 2-1. I hope I am not tempting fate!
Stevosevic Posted 10 May 2015 Posted 10 May 2015 Regardless of whether they can play without any pressure, it still won't make them care.
Master Fox Posted 10 May 2015 Posted 10 May 2015 Sunderland & Leicester will play out a 0-0, while Spurs beat hull which sends them down. That's how it will happen.

foxfanazer Posted 10 May 2015 Posted 10 May 2015 So long as we turn up and do what we're so effective at the result will come. Pearson won't let us become complacent
ithuriel Posted 10 May 2015 Posted 10 May 2015 If we need nothing from the game I would not put it past Nige to give the fringe players a run out.
Kitchandro Posted 10 May 2015 Posted 10 May 2015 Can't see us being affected by nerves if I'm honest. We could have been nervous yesterday after Sunderland's result but the match was effectively over in 19 minutes. If we need to beat them I'm quite confident we will. Being at home is a massive plus and if we just go out there with the right attitude we're by far the better team. That's not to say I won't be bricking it if we need a result.
ealingfox Posted 10 May 2015 Posted 10 May 2015 Sunderland & Leicester will play out a 0-0, while Spurs beat hull which sends them down. That's how it will happen. Spurs are comparable to Newcastle and QPR at the moment. We cannot assume Hull won't get a result there at all.
weller54 Posted 10 May 2015 Author Posted 10 May 2015 Their so called Manager said quite a few players were playing with injuries, so expect changes against Newcastle and us... Shame that!!!

Speaks volumes of our mentality at present

Benguin Posted 10 May 2015 Posted 10 May 2015 The game will be crucial in deciding who finishes bottom out of Burnley and QPR. (Providing we're safe) I'd like to think Pearson would do the right thing and play at our best capability. I can't see anything but a home win regardless of the context imo.
weller54 Posted 10 May 2015 Author Posted 10 May 2015 Spurs are comparable to Newcastle and QPR at the moment. We cannot assume Hull won't get a result there at all. Wee bit harsh on Spurs that!!!!
VLC86 Posted 10 May 2015 Posted 10 May 2015 looks like caulker has decided he wanted to go on his holiday early and limped off so might be out... which is a blow for us.... Amended it for you
David Hankey Posted 10 May 2015 Posted 10 May 2015 QPR now relegated and only pride to play for. I hope we can give them a caning and go out in style.
katieakita Posted 10 May 2015 Posted 10 May 2015 QPR now relegated and only pride to play for. I hope we can give them a caning and go out in style. Bonus for us as they haven't had much pride all season.
