QPR at home... after the Man City result......

I wonder if a few of their players will be trying to impress onlookers as they and their club pray for a taker, though there aren't many, Austin, Green, Phillips and maybe Fer.

Reckon our players will want to go out on a high regardless of if safety & survival is secured or not.

From a fan's point of view, I'd rather have safety secured. If it's not it'd be typical Leicester to do so much hard work only for it to be fvcked up on the final day. However, I also can't see Hull getting 4 points over Man Utd & Spurs which works in our favour.

Sunderland & Leicester will play out a 0-0, while Spurs beat hull which sends them down. That's how it will happen.

Not possible. Sunderland draw will take them 3 ahead of Hull in that scenario. We'd be safe, as would Newcastle with a win, but Sunderland would still need to match hulls result on the final day.

Derby needed a win on the final day, at home, against a dead rubber side and lost 3-0.

Obviously Derby are much shitter than we are and the circumstances are different but if a team already has their fate decided and if the other side is nervous and desperate, anything is possible

We need 4 points to stay up. I don't care where we get them as long as we do. 40 points may not be enough. Hull have two tricky games left but that is only on paper. Spurs are absolutely dire at the moment and I can see Hull winning there by 2 goals. Man utd will have absolutely nothing to play for at Hull so I can see another Hull win.

Qpr against Newcastle next week is simply impossible to call. After today I can actually see Newcastle winning.

We really must get at least a point next week. We are still in a very difficult position though it is better than a week ago.

Personally I think we will need to better or equal Hull's final result to stay up on the final day. So let's hope QPR have totally given up by then.

I reckon if there is nothing to play for, it could go either way with some show boating from both teams - us to relax, them in a desperate attempt to put themselves in the shop window.

If we need to win and us fans get behind them, we'll smash them.

The real danger is if we only need a draw and go back to setting up not to lose.  If that's the case then my ticket will be wasted as I'll probably have my eyes hiding behind my hands for the whole game!  And we'll probably lose whilst Hull will get the job done against Utd as they will not care.  I was kinda hoping for a QPR draw today to still keep Utd in the hunt for 3rd and thus needing something in the Hull game to avoid the CL qualifying round.

We have to better Hull's result next week.  Simples.

disagree with all of that.

We aren't going to need 4 points to stay up. We need 4 points only if Hull get 6 points, which is quite unlikely. There are so many scenarios for Hull, Newcastle, and Sunderland, and us. By far the most probable ones have us staying up. Pearson and the squad will see out what they started and leave nothing to chance.

I expect this game to be played with us guaranteed safety already, or with only unlikely goal difference scenarios remaining in play. In this case I expect a fun atmosphere to celebrate how our first PL season in 10 years ended with us safe and looking good for the future.

Care to elaborate. I'm not saying it will definitely happen but Spurs really are finished this season and Utd will be on the beach by the time they play Hull.

As it stands we need 4 more points.

I hope you are right but a side bottom of the table winning 6 out of 7 would have been pretty unlikely as well to most fans.

They only needed a point, I think. Even funnier!

lol yeah sorry.

Spurs are rubbish as you say and United are hardly dependable but this is Hull we are talking about. They were terrible yesterday and I still expect clubs like Spurs and United to play professionally and redeem a bit of pride.

They will be in holiday mode but both Spurs (especially at home) and United are far better than Hull so the chances of Hull beating them both is very slim. I think a win against QPR will be more than enough to guarantee safety. Obviously a cheeky 1 nil win at Sunderland will be the best for everyone's health.

United players will be trying their best as they all can potentially be replaced bar The keeper if he decides to stay.

They need to prove to Van Gaal why he doesn't need to replace them.

Not sure if this has already been posted but remember the last time QPR were relegated, their last game (when they were already down) was against Man City who had to win in order to win the league. QPR managed to get 3-1 ahead and only narrowly lost by that famous "AGUEROOOOOOO" goal.

Therefore we don't know what team will turn up but we definitely can not assume they will be easy to beat.

Couple of things wrong with this. They weren't already down, in fact results going their way that day meant they knew they were going to stay up before the game had finished. And they were 2-1 up, not 3-1.

So no, that won't have already been posted.

Slightly off topic, but: Harry Redknapp has really, really knackered up QPR. I don't know why anybody gives the bloke any credibility whatsoever.

He's blatantly a genuinely appalling manager who leaves a path of destruction everywhere he goes.

He filled their squad with a load of old, overpaid, apathetic mercenaries. One of the largest wage bills in football and a team as an uninspiring and unspirited as possible.

Yet, Redknapp seems to genuinely believe his own hype. It irritates me that he thought he was a shoe-in for the England job. At least he wouldn't have been able to wreck their finances. Then again, he'd have probably found a way.

I'm for one hoping we don't need anything from this game and it's all wrapped up at Sunderland, then we can give a couple of the up and coming lads an experience in the prem.

Mind you tho having watched a bit of the QPR V MAN CITY game I think our under 21's could beat that shamble, there was no fight no pride or even no respect for the fans from QPR's team today who can't see many of them being there next season let alone being worth what Fernandes paid for those mercanaries!

After hearing the QPR fans on collymore's programme they want the squad disassembled and start again as the players the have and who have got them relegated have no passion for the club but only passion for the pay packet, mind you that's exactly what you get if you pay silly money for players with wages they wanted from and got from Fernandes.

So here's hoping for a great finish to the season by beating these buch of mercanaries and show them what real team spirit and react for the fans really is !!

Redknapp is illiterate he probably meant to offer Barton £150 a week but popped in a few too many zeros !!;)
