Dan Posted 23 July 2015 Posted 23 July 2015 OK maybe I'm a huge hypocrite here but Dyche is absolutely dull as hell isn't he. They've probably offered £500k given his track record. Jordan Rhodes is very over-rated as well. Too one-dimensional. I agree entirely with Wookie that he's a better Chris Wood.
ScouseFox Posted 23 July 2015 Posted 23 July 2015 I thought dyche had left burnley? Did I dream that?
Dan Posted 23 July 2015 Posted 23 July 2015 Nah. "The fact freddos are still only 10p here just demonstrates what a fantastic, cheap club Burnley are. I want to be here forever" were his reasons for staying or something like that.
Soar Fox Posted 23 July 2015 Posted 23 July 2015 Didn't Middlesbrough struggle to score goals last season? Could be the difference between going up automatically or getting in the playoffs.
ScouseFox Posted 23 July 2015 Posted 23 July 2015 but he was deffo going to leave? wasnt he? surely i haven't just completely made this up
Soar Fox Posted 23 July 2015 Posted 23 July 2015 but he was deffo going to leave? wasnt he? surely i haven't just completely made this up We approached him he turned us down. Said we offered him to much money.
ScouseFox Posted 23 July 2015 Posted 23 July 2015 well i can quite vividly remember reading, watching and laughing at the fact he was leaving after taking them down but just tryna find anything about it and i can't. what a dream that must've been.
Soar Fox Posted 23 July 2015 Posted 23 July 2015 Some people dream about Michelle Keegan, some boys dream about Beyoncé. Scouse dreams about Sean Dyche.
TheSomersetFox Posted 23 July 2015 Posted 23 July 2015 What gets me is that Derby are now able to spend a bit more on players because they've been so smartly run for a few years now. Dyche really is a monumental jebend. Atleast it's Derby he's pissing off now
ScouseFox Posted 23 July 2015 Posted 23 July 2015 also how does any of what boro are doing fit in with financial play an all that jazz? they've got no fans so surely aren't making anything on ticket sales. they haven't sold anyone good in a while so aren't making money on transfers. they've not been in the prem for like 5 years so don't have any money from that. WHERES THE MONEY COMIN FROM LADS

WHERES THE MONEY COMIN FROM LADS It doesn't fit in at all but if you get promoted none of that matters anyway. Also, I think the rules are being softened for upcoming seasons. Possibly not by that much though.
Carl the Llama Posted 23 July 2015 Posted 23 July 2015 Derby County are set to re-sign former defender Jason Shackell after they agreed an undisclosed fee with Burnley. Burnley manager Sean Dyche told the club website: "It's fair to say Derby County made an offer that was so large he found he couldn't refuse it. "Outside the Premier League there are still some clubs throwing enormous amounts of money at the situation and Derby are one of those clubs." Dyche lol Wtf are they doing with their PL money? Such a shitly run club. At what point do their fans start questioning the ginger Jesus?
ealingfox Posted 23 July 2015 Posted 23 July 2015 With the new TV deal next season, this is the season to go all in in the Championship. The PL money will fund the spending and the FFP fine easily and then some.
FrankieADZ Posted 24 July 2015 Posted 24 July 2015 i dont think we spent half as much the season we went up(given we did the seasons before under SGE & etc) some massive amounts of money being thrown about, kinda shocking tbh.. Will say Boro or Derby be called "Big spending" like we were i hope Derby & Boro fail at the last hurdle again tbh
FrankieADZ Posted 3 August 2015 Posted 3 August 2015 Boro could pay £14 mil for Rhodes, http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/transfers/middlesbrough-plotting-stunning-14m-for-blackburn-striker-jordan-rhodes-10435012.html getting ridiculous now imo

Surely Boro and Derby will smash the Championship this season the money they r spouting out
Dan Posted 3 August 2015 Posted 3 August 2015 Fourteen million for Jordan Rhodes. Absolutely laughable if that happens. Always quite liked Middlesbrough but would have a sneer if it all backfired. They're clearly banking on going up this season (which is extremely dangerous). I've no sympathy for clubs who spend beyond their means and then moan when they're in trouble.

MC Prussian Posted 3 August 2015 Posted 3 August 2015 Well, I do hope Blackburn invest wisely and don't let the owners (Venky's?) pocket a large portion of those transfer fees paid.
