Dan LCFC Posted 3 August 2015 Share Posted 3 August 2015 How did we never get offers for any of our players? I'd rather have Vardy than Rhodes and I'm deadly serious.

Hollism Posted 4 August 2015 Share Posted 4 August 2015 How did we never get offers for any of our players? I'd rather have Vardy than Rhodes and I'm deadly serious. If Rhodes goes for £14m then does that make Vardy worth £25m or more!? Potentially yes actually. I think a Vardy-like player (which Rhodes is not), would be the difference between a team like Boro fighting for top 2, and absolutely pissing the league. Alà Leicester. Asha Posted 4 August 2015 Share Posted 4 August 2015 It's a risky strategy but I think it'll pay off. It's not like Middlesbrough were some dog bollock team like Sheffield Wednesday or Leeds that needed a whole new eleven to be anywhere. They were so close to promotion anyway so a few solid additions, particularly a striker, was all they needed. I think they've been making really good signings this summer, even if they're paying over the top for them. Based on the prize of the increased TV money next year it's worth the gamble. FrankieADZ Posted 4 August 2015 Share Posted 4 August 2015 i just hope the likes of Derby and Boro are called "big spending" this season, as they've spent a bundle a cash, we didnt spent nearly as much as some of these are trying to get up. MC Prussian Posted 4 August 2015 Share Posted 4 August 2015 Leeds sign Stuart Dallas from Brentford on a three-year deal. Arsenal loan their 20-year old striker Akpom to Hull for the season. filbertway Posted 5 August 2015 Share Posted 5 August 2015 https://twitter.com/SkySportsNewsHQ/status/628955494078672896 Wow. Proved they are good players at rhat level, I like the idea, these high fees creeping into the championship will take a while to get used to though. Jonaldinho Posted 5 August 2015 Share Posted 5 August 2015 Rejected it too. I really rate Gray, he'll be in the PL in a couple of seasons. Similar player to Vardy and his career has taken a similar trajectory too.
SomalianFox15 Posted 5 August 2015 Share Posted 5 August 2015 I reckon Hull will come straight back up. Bruce is a decent manager at that level and their squad isn't too bad.
Wymsey Posted 6 August 2015 Share Posted 6 August 2015 Reading fined for pitch invasion: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/33810244 I think these pitch invasion fine are too hefty. If they're paying for police/stewards upfront anyway, shouldn't they take responsibility for these events?
Dan LCFC Posted 6 August 2015 Share Posted 6 August 2015 There are going to be some clubs in real financial trouble in the Championship from the start of next season if this is anything to go by.
EastAnglianFox Posted 6 August 2015 Share Posted 6 August 2015 Dyche moaning about how many pound notes being spent in the championship this season! Nice to see that in a pre season of much change for us, somethings just never change.

Nice to see that in a pre season of much change for us, somethings just never change. Just been reading about that. Surely Burnley fans are getting tired of hearing the same old shit from gravel throat. Hope they stay down for a very long time, just because of him
Corky Posted 6 August 2015 Share Posted 6 August 2015 Dyche moaning about how many pound notes being spent in the championship this season! Nice to see that in a pre season of much change for us, somethings just never change. Burnley received £65 million last season. They choose not to spend it. Dyche needs to realise football has moved on from his ideal of everyone being equal and money not being a factor. He's got a big job this season to prove he's not a one-season wonder and the "little money" excuse won't wash.

Wymsey Posted 7 August 2015 Share Posted 7 August 2015 I would prefer Derby to do better than Forest. Due to the fact that Derby fans are less cocky and down-to-earth. Forest fans are on another level in terms of insanity.
