I'm sure it wasn't all rosy under him at Newcastle, but it was never as bad as its been under Carver and McClaren. It's the old saying, be careful what you wish for. They might not have been world beaters with Pardew, but they were never relegation fodder.

I didn't quite get all the talking up surrounding Chris Smalling this season until today(because he's been utter over hyped dog shit at times in the last few years!), correct me if I'm wrong but he's the only defender who's given Vardy any trouble this season! That chance at the end I think vards would have turned another defender inside out and scored, but I think his indecision was down to a genuine respect for Smallings positional play.

Sunderland seem to have gotten their act together a little but I'm still not having it that they aren't turd. Bournemouth are a poorer Leicester from this time last year. Norwich are pretty bad. Newcastle are just total shite. They must have one of the most dis-organised defences this league has ever seen.

On their day they can give most teams a game, they just have to find a way of having more of those days, because when they're not at they are awful.
