MC Prussian Posted 30 November 2015 Posted 30 November 2015 Ryan Bennett is seriously lucky that Sanchez wasn't injured when he shoved him into the camera and the pit it was in yesterday. He was off the pitch and it was a cowardly thing to do. Funny part is that Bennett got away with it, didn't he? Can't recall the referee brandishing a yellow for the intent alone.

Guest Col city fan Posted 30 November 2015 Posted 30 November 2015 Aston Villa really are the epitome of how not to run a club. They sign Sherwood, then soon sack him in favour of a bloke with no experience of the Premiership. Their squad is a championship squad. They've blown the Benteke money on a series of bang average players. The Chairman has made it clear he's not really bothered. They deserve to be relegated..and most probably will be. About time...
The Horse's Mouth Posted 30 November 2015 Posted 30 November 2015 Some of their signings have been alright, I just don't know where they expected to get the goals really. After last year with us and how bad the bottom 5 is atm, I genuinely can't write them off just yet. I've genuinely got no idea what Garde was thinking taking that job though.
Staffs Fox Posted 30 November 2015 Posted 30 November 2015 Villa have done a bottom half version of what Spurs and Liverpool did when they sold their key players for big money. Instead of replacing them they;ve decided quantity is the way to go and brought a whole raft of mid priced players hoping to find a gem with the many gambles. It didn't work for Liverpool or Spurs and it hasn't worked for Villa, They got £40m+ for Delph and Benteke (and lost Vlaar on a free) but that's £40m to spend on a CB, CM and CF. Simple, Instead they spent over £7m on 6 different players none of which have really worked so far as well as bringing in another 5 players They are so poor it's unreal; 5 points from 14 games!! FIVE! There next two are Southampton Away and Arsenal at Home, good luck lads, you'll need it Going down would be the best thing for them. I'll miss the 6 points though
Stadt Posted 30 November 2015 Posted 30 November 2015 it's not as if theres loads of decent strikers queuing up to sign for villa though

There's something wrong with the club and how it's run. McLeish, Lambert and Sherwood all achieved nothing (Sherwood managed an FA Cup final though) and there has to be a underlying reason. They have been losing their best players for a while now but that's no excuse, just look at Southampton.
ScouseFox Posted 30 November 2015 Posted 30 November 2015 remember when everyone thought i was taking the piss when i said gestede and agbonlahor wouldn't score 5 goals between them all season. reckon i'll probably be right (again).

SystonFox Posted 30 November 2015 Posted 30 November 2015 I really despise crystal palace as a club. Just watchin more again and Glad all Over played 5 times during the game. Tinpot song, Nigel Pearson emoji face club.
Nalis Posted 30 November 2015 Posted 30 November 2015 London media is so full of shit, particularly regading clubs like West Ham and Crystal Palace, banging out how West Ham are destined for Europe since beating Man City, etc away. The icing on the cake was when they complain that they should be beating small teams like West Brom. That's the same West Brom who are only 4pts behind them in the league...

ScouseFox Posted 30 November 2015 Posted 30 November 2015 Villa are doing some good business. No surprise they are spending the Benteke money on rebuilding a young squad of players. Gestede will probably do better than many on here give him credit for too. Time will tell, but I don't think they are looking relegation favourites. our rivals are paying ludicrous money for the likes of rickie lambert and rudy gestede and we've got okazaki, kramaric, vardy and ulloa. we're top half at least lads. Again..can we quote you? Whoops, I just have.. scenes think ive won foxestalk there lads come on
Jakemoore Posted 30 November 2015 Posted 30 November 2015 The quality during the first half in the game between Bolton & Brentford was better than most of what I saw all weekend in the Premier League.
MC Prussian Posted 30 November 2015 Posted 30 November 2015 A sidenote from last week, I guess: Manchester City are going to unveil a new badge soon. And it'll be of a round shape - just like NYCFC's and Melbourne City FC's, their recent MLS and A-League offspring. Surprise! http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/nov/24/manchester-city-badge-design-fans-consultation
ScouseFox Posted 30 November 2015 Posted 30 November 2015 Yann M'Villa was available and we didn't even try? Ffs Whilst we are in desperate need of midfielders our opponents on saturday are signing two quality CMs. I suppose its back to the debate are we aiming to high and wasting time? We could have been lining up with Inler and Aranguiz, yet it looks increasingly like King and Drinkwater. Btw the two guys Sunderland are signing are Fer and M'Vila. Sunderland building a solid squad there. Would've liked either of those CM's here. i cant cope

KFS Posted 30 November 2015 Posted 30 November 2015 i cant copeAt this point we were going into the new season with Drinkwater and King as our only midfielders. I would have taken Richard Wellens back I was so desperate
Captain... Posted 1 December 2015 Posted 1 December 2015 Mentioned on MOTD 2 that Sanchez has played 30 games since the FA cup final (3 were as a sub and he was subbed off a few times too), and not had a break, well boo hoo! Morgan had less of a pre-season played 2 international tournaments and has played every minute of every game for Leicester and he's not injured. I think Morgan has played 27 games since the FA cup final, 14 for us, 13 for Jamaica, but I could be wrong.

The icing on the cake was when they complain that they should be beating small teams like West Brom. That's the same West Brom who are only 4pts behind them in the league... Agree entirely. West Ham have been incredibly over-rated from the off. Their win at Arsenal was down to Arsenal being bad more than West Ham being good. Proof being West Ham starting a 16 year old who looked totally out of his depth against us and has seemingly gone missing since? Nothing against him but 16 is no age. Payet's a very good player but beyond him they're average. They're ridiculously inconsistent. 3 points from Watford, West Brom, Sunderland, Bournemouth and Norwich. Three of them at home as well.
