ARM1968 Posted 28 April 2016 Posted 28 April 2016 Surprised they've given him the full 3. It's good news for us and good news for England. The lad is seriously talented but needs to find a way to control his temper.
Sublime_Coatsworth Posted 28 April 2016 Posted 28 April 2016 I hate spurs but still think a three match ban is OTT. I wouldn't mind if he gave him a good smack but it was a real noncy limb-wristed 'punch'

I wouldn't mind if he gave him a good smack but it was a real noncy limb-wristed 'punch' its violent conduct. if he winds him so he falls to the floor, its still violent conduct. tbh, he got away with it because he should have missed 55 mins of the game and spurs could have lost. had the ref seen it, he would have been sent off with an AUTOMATIC three match ban. the fact that spurs didn't even ask for a personal hearing tells me that they have given up on the title.
ARM1968 Posted 28 April 2016 Posted 28 April 2016 Agreed. I think Spurs are mentally gone from top to bottom and this is just another nail in that coffin.
MrSpaM Posted 28 April 2016 Posted 28 April 2016 I don't think anybody would have even mentioned it if we were both mid table tbh
Sublime_Coatsworth Posted 28 April 2016 Posted 28 April 2016 I don't think anybody would have even mentioned it if we were both mid table tbh Agreed - being in the spotlight has it's negatives as well as positives. We learned that with Vardy I suppose I agree though - Spurs have thrown the towel in, they're finished.

Maybe he was given the ban for such a limp wristed effort?!
Dan Posted 28 April 2016 Posted 28 April 2016 Vardy's charge and Alli's charge shouldn't be compared. They're completely different incidents.
Dan Posted 28 April 2016 Posted 28 April 2016 Utterly cringeworthy and small-time. We're the only set of fans who can laugh at Spurs this season. I can't stand Spurs fans but this is a bit embarrassing really. Chelsea are midtable FFS.

As I said in the thread in general sport, are we only going to ban strong player who attack opponents? Wasilewski punches someone it a season long ban, Mahrez does it and he has to miss 45 minutes? It doesn't work that way I'm afraid.
AKCJ Posted 28 April 2016 Posted 28 April 2016 Still love this one the most. i've seen this a million times now but claudio in the second bit slays me everytime

Koke Posted 29 April 2016 Posted 29 April 2016 I just watched Wenger's press conference and the man has lost the plot. He is so condescending towards the Arsenal supporters, treating them like mugs and being so patronising. How can he blame the fans for his team being so dreadful this season. He refuses to acknowledge the huge unrest at the club and refuses to take responsibility for his underperforming side.
Raw Dykes Posted 29 April 2016 Posted 29 April 2016 Best footballing side© I can't wait to see the trophy they get for that.
Koke Posted 29 April 2016 Posted 29 April 2016 Wenger said away from home they are title wnners, insinuating that the home atmosphere is too toxic to perform and its gotten to the players. Arsenal are 3rd in the away table behind us and Spurs. Their away record is 3rd. Their home record is also 3rd. They are 3rd overall.
Matt Posted 29 April 2016 Posted 29 April 2016 Pochettino verbally agress new five-year contract with Tottenham. That's a shame, I was hoping he'd walk away, imagine the meltdown if that happened! Ah right, it's only 2 year extention, not a new five-year deal as has been worded.
Dan Posted 29 April 2016 Posted 29 April 2016 Really, you might wanna pull that stick out your arse and let fans be fans. OK, I'll rephrase that. We're the only set of fans who can laugh at Spurs who have a leg to stand on. That any better?

He'll be on his way as soon as PSG or Barca come calling (obviously). Not that Spurs fans will care if he can get them some silverware and back-to-back Champions League finishes in the next 12 months.
