Callabinho Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 This adds so much fuel to the Chelsea V Spurs match. The problem is if we beat Chelsea to win the league then a witch hunt will ensue and an ugly can of worms will be opened. Perfect scenario is Spurs lose to Chelsea and we win the title against Everton. No repercussions will come of that.
ScouseFox Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 probs just fire spurs fans and players up even more. would imagine pochetinno etc will be watching hazard thinking he's got his smug face on as if he can decide where the title's going and want to shut him up.
weller54 Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Just hope JT is back for the game.. He'll be so fired up for it..
filbertway Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 If he had the right players around him is the key point i'm making, the other can 'do it for themselves' generally. I don't think he could stand being roughed up either. Listen, I don't think we'll ever see him in the Prem and there is a reason for that (Well there's a few) and unless he does come he'll never answer the question will he, Ronaldo has. You obviously watch very little of him if you actually believe any of that. We're winning the league next sunday lads, don't worry.
Webbo Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Even if Chelsea are trying their hardest it won't necessarily stop Spurs. I can't see them losing to anyone.

foxes_rule1978 Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Even if Chelsea are trying their hardest it won't necessarily stop Spurs. I can't see them losing to anyone. Just one draw would be good
SpinneyHillRanger Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 spurs are in good form... but seriously can't understand the thoughts that they are invincible. seems like people have been rattled by the "we're coming for you..." Even the great teams in the world lose games, barcelona, real madrid, bayern.... Tottenham have lost more games than us... maybe they might not lose any other game this season, but don't agree with them being this superhuman team that can't lose. At the end of the day "we're LEICESTER CITY, we're TOP OF THE LEAGUE!"

BlueSi13 Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Considering the importance the match is to both clubs, the atmosphere at the Sunderland-Arsenal game is absolutely appalling. I sometimes think we're the only club in the PL that tries to actually create an atmosphere.
phildw Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Surely if we are winning today it has to be a full blown rendition of "Tottenham Hotspur we're further from you, we're further from you we're further from you, Tottenham Hotspur we're further from you!" PS: Sounds better when you sing it than it looks in writing!!
STUHILL Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Spurs just need something to go against them, like a deflected goal or penalty and their air of invicibility will soon diminish and everyone will be doubting them again and saying they are building for the future etc.. Like others have said, even the best teams (which they are not) lose or draw games. I wouldn't put it past Chelsea or Southampton to score first or even get a quick couple of goals and that could completely change Spur's momentum. If they win every game and overtake us then fair play, but hopefully that won't happen!
ajthefox Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Sort of nice to hear Hazard say that but I'd rather he hadn't, it's only going to fire spurs up more as others have said and if it comes down to the last game and we need to win to be sure, we don't want people forever questioning the validity of a win on the last day.
FireFox Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Sort of nice to hear Hazard say that but I'd rather he hadn't, it's only going to fire spurs up more as others have said.Like they need to be fired up anymore. They are 5 points behind from winning the league. That should fire them up completely.
STUHILL Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Like they need to be fired up anymore. They are 5 points behind from winning the league. That should fire them up completely. Agreed. I'm just happy Chelsea players seem up for that game. On their day, they could be better than Spurs and Hazard is definitely due a good game!!!
Vacamion Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Sunderland will be unlucky if they don't get at least a pool from this.
STUHILL Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Want Arsenal to win even though Sunderland have been great. Two reasons: So Spurs are looking behind them too, as they would hate for Arsenal to catch them and we need Newcastle still in with a chance of staying up when they play Spurs on the last game of the season. Also, we don't want Man U with much chance of getting 4th spot so when they play us, they have less to play for and will be more concerned on not getting injured for their FA Cup final
Jimothy Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Wilshere has put an Arsenal shirt on and stood at the side of the pitch. That probably puts him ahead of Drinkwater for a place at the Euros.
MC Prussian Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Wilshere on for Arsenal now after eight months of absence... Now count the minutes until his next injury.
foxfanazer Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Guaranteed 2nd place now right? Barring goal difference
WigstonWanderer Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 0-0 final score Arse &Sunderland. Think this means we only need a draw to guarantee 2nd worse case. Edit: Beaten to it
Fox 4 Life Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Could have done with an arsenal win really as United still very much in for 4th ahead of our game. Was hoping they were out of it and concentrating on cup final. At least Chelsea look up for smashing spurs Hazard: We want Leicester to win http://www.skysports.com/share/10256773

EnglishOxide Posted 25 April 2016 Posted 25 April 2016 Considering the importance the match is to both clubs, the atmosphere at the Sunderland-Arsenal game is absolutely appalling. I sometimes think we're the only club in the PL that tries to actually create an atmosphere. We do have the benefit of experiencing highs n lows though and can therefore appreciate what we have. In the last 10 years we were relegated to Leage One. Became Champions of it. Lost out in the playoffs to Cardiff on penos with THAT shit penalty. Ownership change. Paulo Sousa. 0-6 to Portsmouth. Sven and a million signings. Big Nige returns. 17 game winless streak. Watford playoff heartbreak. Winstreak of 10 or 11 as we win Championship with a banging young team. Esteban Cambiasso signs. Another winless run. The great escape. Thai orgy. Pearson sacking. Preki. A gamble on Ranieri. Vardy breaking Nistelrooys record. Qualifying for Champions League! And now on the verge of winning the hardest league in Europe. Compare that to Sunderland fighting relegation for the last 10 years and Arsenal aiming for 4th every year for the last decade and its easy to see why it's become stale for their fanbases (aside from Arsenal being a load of posh, passionless tarts anyway). We have been very lucky.
