LCFCJV Posted 30 April 2016 Posted 30 April 2016 Why is there lcfc in your username when you're blatantly a Spurs fan? I'm not a Spurs fan, but not having this bigger club rubbish especially the arrogance displayed like Chelsa could have Poch if they wanted. By that logic Spurs could have Mahrez if they wanted, seeing as they're a bigger club and all.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 30 April 2016 Posted 30 April 2016 Chelsea and Man City are bigger clubs than Spurs... Both have won numerous titles recently, and Chelsea have even won the Champions League. Liverpool are bigger than Spurs as well
LCFCJV Posted 30 April 2016 Posted 30 April 2016 Chelsea and Man City are bigger clubs than Spurs... Both have won numerous titles recently, and Chelsea have even won the Champions League. Liverpool are bigger than Spurs as well Liverpool yes, but not City and Chelsea.
LCFCJV Posted 30 April 2016 Posted 30 April 2016 Everton are bigger than Spurs. Rubbish, I don't think there's been a player ever that would chose Everton over Spurs and certainly not in the last 20 years. Everton are the kind of club that would get Tottenhams casts offs. First British side to the the double First British side to win a european Trophy. Easily had some of Britians greatest ever players ... Greaves, Hoddle, Gascoigne, Lineker Bale Joint 5th on the the honours won list (yes above Man City even now!)
Kitchandro Posted 30 April 2016 Posted 30 April 2016 I can't believe we're talking about this but spurs are clearly bigger than Chelsea and man city. Their fan base is huge and they've had a much more consistent history Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Koke Posted 30 April 2016 Posted 30 April 2016 Chelsea were hardly minnows when they were taken over. They won FA Cups and Cup Winners Cup in the 90s whilst Spurs were languishing mid table. Chelsea are clearly the bigger club now. Everton are also a bigger club than Spurs. Since Spurs last won the league Everton have won it 4 times, twice in the 80s.
BoyJones Posted 30 April 2016 Posted 30 April 2016 When as a ten year old, I first started watching the City in 62/63 season, the most eagerly awaited home fixture was Tottenham Hotspurs. They were the glamour club, with great players like Cliff Jones, Jimmy Greaves, Dave Mackay, John White etc. Man Utd weren't that good, but had the nations sympathy after the 1958 air disaster and Liverpool, Everton, Arsenal etc were just beginning to have their good times. Obviously Man Utd had some great players, I remember sitting in the double decker in November 1965 when we lost 5-0 at home, but generally they didn't havour the charisma of Spurs. (cost 3s 6d, 171/2p to get in that day!) Chelsea was always a decent fixture with Peter Osgood et al, but they were pretty inconsistent. Spurs have fallen away somewhat over the last 40 years with occasional cup success, but as an old timer, I still view Spurs as the "bigger" team, with a lot prouder heritage and look forward to our home game with them much more than Chelsea. I always go to Spurs away, really like their ground, a shame they are leaving it.
ithuriel Posted 30 April 2016 Posted 30 April 2016 Who cares who is bigger than who, currently Spurs are the second best team in the country and have a long and proud history even if some of their fan base is deluded and overly arrogant. I see this season has not only our greatest ever if we win it but also with a little bit of payback for them beating us in the League cup final.

Didn't their team include Danny Blanchflower as well?
Clever Fox Posted 30 April 2016 Posted 30 April 2016 I always heard and read many times that Chelsea were basically a Corporate club. Meaning that they were the only Ground where you could guarantee to get Tickets for every Game. They never had a real Fan either in terms of numbers and they were the poor relations of Fulham. clearly some of that has changed since Abramovitch money.
Sublime_Coatsworth Posted 30 April 2016 Posted 30 April 2016 If you think the strength of the punch should determine the length of the ban you clearly don't know how it works. A punch is punch, doesn't matter how strong the person throwing it is. You like repeating yourself don't you. We get it. Move on FFS

For a non Spurs fan you ain't half defensive about them. Everton have won the league twice in my memory(9 times in total) and a UEFA cup. They've also won the FA cup more recently than you as well.
weller54 Posted 30 April 2016 Posted 30 April 2016 Everton struggling against Bournemouth today.. You're going out with a whimper!!
Tuna Posted 30 April 2016 Posted 30 April 2016 Nobody cares about today's matches? Villa 1-0 up at Watford!
Stevosevic Posted 30 April 2016 Posted 30 April 2016 Spurs bigger than Chelsea? Recent history does count you know guys, their trophy cabinet from 1997 onwards shames Spurs.
UPinCarolina Posted 30 April 2016 Posted 30 April 2016 Stoke and Sunderland is an ugly piece of work. Neither side can finish.
Jimothy Posted 30 April 2016 Posted 30 April 2016 You like repeating yourself don't you. We get it. Move on FFS I keep repeating myself because it seems half the forum are too stupid to understand that strength of the attacker shouldn't determine the length of punishment.
weller54 Posted 30 April 2016 Posted 30 April 2016 Hope Everton get beat today and they'll be thoroughly demoralised for our match!...
ScouseFox Posted 30 April 2016 Posted 30 April 2016 spurs have won the exact same amount as us in the past 25 years. this idea that they're one of the big boys is ludicrous. they've been in the champions league once and won two league cups since most people on this board learnt to walk.
Ozwin Posted 30 April 2016 Posted 30 April 2016 Picked the Newcastle game to watch. Bit of a mistake really, they're dreadful.
Zola Posted 30 April 2016 Posted 30 April 2016 Picked the Newcastle game to watch. Bit of a mistake really, they're dreadful. yes, they are rubish

To say chelsea are not bigger than spurs is mind boggling.
