DJ Barry Hammond Posted 30 April 2016 Posted 30 April 2016 This is a bit premature given they haven't secured their safety yet, but I get the sense Newcastle might be able to go some way to replicating what we've done next season. That squad was always better than their position, they appear to be finding some leaders especially in Lascelles (cheeky bid from us maybe?) and it's the sort of place where moment and the fans have a huge effect.

Torten Posted 30 April 2016 Posted 30 April 2016 Imagine being a Palace fan and thinking their squad is as good as ours
rmahrez Posted 30 April 2016 Posted 30 April 2016 Reckon Newcastle will stay up. Still have to go to Villa which should be 3 points, and Spurs could (hopefully) be playing for nothing on the final day..

cruyff99 Posted 30 April 2016 Posted 30 April 2016 I'm sorry, but you're not speaking for me with this monstrosity of a "song".Agreed - really irritating opportunistic song, which just cashes in on the team's success
bluesbrothers Posted 30 April 2016 Posted 30 April 2016 Just had an argument with a Palace fan on Reddit, who swears blind that his team are safe despite their shite form and clearly having their focus on the FA Cup Final.I admire his confidence, but feel it might come back to bite them in the arse. There's a reason Claudio went on about 40 points. If Sunderland win their games, they will catch them. I don't see Palace getting anything from their last two.As for Norwich - well, they'll have to pull off a great result at Man City later to really be in with a shout, but the same applies.I kind of want Palace to get caught now - he's not the first fan I've found to be an arrogant willy puller. London Syndrome is real, folks.
Corky Posted 30 April 2016 Posted 30 April 2016 Palace are safe, they are seven points clear of the relegation zone. It's too big a gap with two weeks to go.
Dan Posted 30 April 2016 Posted 30 April 2016 Palace are safe, they are seven points clear of the relegation zone. It's too big a gap with two weeks to go. I keep telling myself the same
MC Prussian Posted 30 April 2016 Posted 30 April 2016 Palace are safe, they are seven points clear of the relegation zone. It's too big a gap with two weeks to go. Norwich still have four games to play and could potentially reach 43 points, whilst Sunderland could reach a max of 41. But that's only in the extreme case of those two sides winning all their remaining fixtures, whilst Crystal Palace and Newcastle would have to lose all of theirs.
foxes21 Posted 30 April 2016 Posted 30 April 2016 Palace goal difference is +15 over newcastles. So even if Sunderland & Newcastle win their games & palace lose theirs it will still be Newcastle going down on goal difference.
Corky Posted 30 April 2016 Posted 30 April 2016 I keep telling myself the same Two of those three have to reach 40 points- it's asking too much.
Webbo Posted 30 April 2016 Posted 30 April 2016 Agreed - really irritating opportunistic song, which just cashes in on the team's success But it's the OFFICIAL fan song?
Langston Posted 30 April 2016 Posted 30 April 2016 Two of those three have to reach 40 points- it's asking too much. I think he was referring to our seven point gap rather than querying your point, mate.
bluesbrothers Posted 30 April 2016 Posted 30 April 2016 Palace are safe, they are seven points clear of the relegation zone. It's too big a gap with two weeks to go. If Palace get a draw, it's probably done. But I don't see it from their last two, unless the Stoke of the past few weeks show up. Today's Stoke would have hammered today's Palace, and Southampton is a banker for the Saints. Sunderland's game in hand is a long shot, granted. But even a draw at Chelsea will mean they can catch Palace on GD if they win both. A win, and they could finish on 41. Norwich need at least 1 win from Arsenal or Man Utd, which I doubt will happen, but if it does, they're 2 wins from catching Palace too. Never underestimate a team scrapping for their lives. Stranger things have happened - us Foxes fans should know!
foxes_rule1978 Posted 30 April 2016 Posted 30 April 2016 Palace are safe... it is out of Newcastle, Sunderland and Norwich to go down with Villa. No way with so few games Palace will be caught. However they have made it a lot closer than what it should have really been
Dan Posted 30 April 2016 Posted 30 April 2016 Relegation battles are brilliant. One win changes so much.
foxes21 Posted 30 April 2016 Posted 30 April 2016 I'm sorry but if you have Cameron Jerome starting for you in the premier league, you deserve to go down Wtf were their scouts doing in the summer? They could have got some cheap youngster from France who'd be more useful then Cameron Jerome.
Fox92 Posted 30 April 2016 Posted 30 April 2016 That banner lol "Wenger 12 years of excuses" "Raneiri 9 months Champions" lol
Fox92 Posted 30 April 2016 Posted 30 April 2016 Surprised it doesn't kick off actually. Some for, some against. Just saw someone confront another fan as the camera panned.
