foxes_rule1978 Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 Stoke have proven they have had it, the others Spurs still have to face look dangerous still
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 Decent day with three of Spurs' opponents showing they have enough to maybe snatch a point from them. A win tomorrow is massive. Southampton have conceded two against Villa mind!
foxes_rule1978 Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 Southampton have conceded two against Villa mind! They scored four and were always in control
ajthefox Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 We conceded 2 to Villa, and we dicked Spurs. HUUUUTH there it is. We conceded 2 to Villa when we were letting in goals left right and centre and we squeezed a 1-0 over Spurs. Not the same.
Benji Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 Southampton have conceded two against Villa mind! Don't mind them doing that against Spurs if they score four as well.
Guest Col city fan Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 The Newcastle fans must be kicking themselves that the Wally wasn't sacked much much sooner in the season. Rafa is a class above. He's got them organized, they are fighting for every ball and look to be a 'team' again. The decision to keep that plonker on for much longer than he should have been could result in them going down.
surrifox Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 So only the baggies guaranteed to be shite and lose to them

Seem to be agreeing with you a lot lately.
ceredigion Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 Glad that Newcastle got something today. We need them to be still in the fight when they play Spurs. Aston Villa will take years to recover from this season's debacle. It could be a decade or more before they're seen in the PL again.

Aston Villa will take years to recover from this season's debacle. It could be a decade or more before they're seen in the PL again. My worry is Newcastle could be safe by the final day. They've got Palace and Villa in their next two, could easily pick up 6 points, whilst I think Norwich and Sunderland have both got Arsenal and an other tough game. Winning two on the bounce can help a lot down that end of the table.Edit: Woohoo 10,000 posts!
Guest BlueBrett Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 Aguero is better than Messi IMHO But opinions are like arseholes - everyone's got one Can't agree with that but cr7 and Thierry Henry...
MC Prussian Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 Mamadou Sakho has failed a drugs test at Liverpool. apparently used a fat-burner against doping rules which Kolo Toure has used before. Embarrassing - no wonder he looked sharper in recent games. Maybe he could lend the fat burner to Yaya Touré. Been missing on the pitch for ages. The burn, not the fat.

If either Sunderland or Norwich win just one more match before then, it means that Newcastle will go into the Spurs game with their status in jeopardy.
whetstonefox Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 Everton look terrible, and that's with something to play for!
clark Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 Aguero would be miles ahead of Horse Face if he'd played the same number of games.. He's played 28 so I guess had he played as many as the others he'd be top. Fair point. I still think what both Vardy and Kane offer their teams, besides goals, makes them more impressive though. But yeah, golden boot is about goals at the end of the day.
clark Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 I'm glad Stoke have been slaughtered here. Maybe Tottenham aren't as dominant as what we think and they will drop points? City won at home, after Stoke were already lacking confidence from a recent thrashing. Spurs beat them 4-0 away from home. It was the more impressive win and it really could have been 8-0 just as easily as 4-0. Not watched the City game yet to comment. Stoke are poo at the moment, no doubt, but not many teams get beat 4-0 at their own ground nowadays.
clark Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 Results gone well today, looking hopeful. Still need to win tomorrow or today's results won't mean much.
purpleronnie Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 Results gone well today, looking hopeful. Still need to win tomorrow or today's results won't mean much. Results?
clark Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 Results? Both Chelsea and Southampton scoring 4 each. Both have to play Spurs so good for the confidence and momentum. Newcastle got a point keeping them in with a chance of staying up and looking likely to need points on the last day against Spurs.
MattCan Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 Results? Newcastle result is good because it will likely give them something to play for against Spurs. Chelsea result is good because it shows Chelsea are still playing to win, which is a good sign before facing Spurs.

I still think spuds will win every game and we still have much work to do. The players have to think that way. No point in thinking anything else. Win 3, or 2 wins and 2 draws and it doesn't matter if spuds win 8-0 every match. That's what we have to concentrate on. Everton look terrible, and that's with something to play for! We need a draw in this match please. Give them both something else to think about rather than worrying about us!

Gerard Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 Hahaha Chelsea fans singing "Leicester Leicester win the league" and "Beat Fvcking Tottenham, u better beat fvcking Tottenham! Brilliant that the Chelsea fans are singing that. Hopefully it will seep through to the players that stopping Tottenham is their cup final for the remainder of this season and the players will up their game against them. If we need a result on the last day then hopefully the Chelsea fans will sing it again and the Chelsea players play in the proverbial flip flops. It would be great for both sets of fans if they rolled over for us just to witness the moaning from Tottenham fans.

If Sunderland Norwich lose their games, they stay 4 and 5 points behind Newcastle with one game to go. A draw in this game would mean extra time, no replay.
