Cambiasso to stay? It depends on the Mrs

Would he still be training with us, despite now being effectively a 'free agent'?

If he wants to then I'm sure we would allow him but I suspect he won't be training anywhere until he sorts out his future. He missed a proper pre season last year. I think he needs one this year though he may not particularly enjoy them! If he is going to come back, needs to get done so he can get that training regime into him.

Have a feeling the longer it takes for a decision, the less likely it is he stays in the PL. overseas pre seasons begin a little later in Spain and Italy I think.

When I was away last week we went for lunch with our friend who is mates with a few of the Betis directors and said they were interested in him.

If I was Cambiasso I would now hold off on making a decision about my future until I knew who our new manager would be.

He might quite fancy staying once he finds out who it is.  Or on the other hand it might completely put him off.

It does appear that we could offer him the manger or a coaching job if we wanted.  At least if this page can be believed:

http://www.inbrief.co.uk/football-law/coaching-qualifications.htm

On it it says:

"Can individuals without a UEFA Pro Licence coach in the FA Premier League?

It is a requirement of many of the top leagues throughout Europe that individuals can only take up a managerial position if they have obtained a UEFA Pro Licence – the FA Premier League is one of these leagues.

However, in certain cases special dispensation has been given to certain managers enabling them to take up their position without having the UEFA Pro Licence on the condition that they obtain it while in the job."

but surely they have to have uefa B and trust me this takes quite some work and time to get - i.e years

If he makes a commitment to take his licences over the next couple years then they will make an exception. Precedent dictates. However, it looks very unlikely to me. I think he wants to play next season, not manage.

News from the training ground yesterday.

Pearson was looking forward to 3 major signings this week one thought to be Cambiasso.

All 3 deals now seem dead as all were deals done by Pearson.

If the owners were advised that the targets were good for us then they would have held off for a week

They aren't going to screw themselves completely

Well that's interesting considering Pearson had nothing to do with the 'deals'

Really.

I think you will find no player came into the club without talking to Pearson first.

Ok the deal bit was misleading but all 3 had agreed because of him.

In the know, 100% cambiasso will not be at leicester next season.

Theres a very good chance ur right (even if you aren't ITK)

If it proves to be a wrong call, everyone will be so delighted, no one will remember your post.

I expect if he were staying, he would have sorted it out last week

I think in time you will realise that this is genuine info. He wont disclose his source.

There's a difference between it being "genuine info" and "an educated guess".
