Cambiasso to stay? It depends on the Mrs

Come on everybody, it's not Cambiasso FC, he's not bigger than the club.

I get fed up of hearing stuff like this, that maybe so but without players like him we will be back into the championship

I'd resigned myself to losing him a while back but I will be sick if we lose him to another Premier League club, unless it's a top club.

Losing him to Stoke, West Ham, or worst of the lot, Villa, I would be sick.

If he went to any of those then I would feel betrayed by him

I can't be the only one getting p!ssed off by this whole saga.  We should give him a deadline by which to sign for us and if he doesn't we should move on.  Last season we were not in a strong position to play hard-ball but the situation is different now.  We need midfielders and we need to know if he is going to be part of our squad or not.

I was largely under the impression from others on here that the sole and only reason we are not in the Championship is Nigel Pearson.

He's not going to sign until he knows who the new manager is going to be. If NP hadn't been sacked I think he would of signed last week.

It's a team game is it not?

what saga? the only saga is the one made on here and by people who know nothing on twitter.

cambiasso has finished the season, gone on holiday and said nothing. he's out of contract and waiting for a good enough offer.

He's still waiting for us to appoint someone... In my opinion. And I still doubt he'd sign for another English team but again that a guess based on how he's come across the past 9 months etc.

I guess we carry on playing the waiting game.

Pissed off to be honest. The bald one will go down in my estimates if he joins another prem club, I mean FFS Stoke? We could out achieve Stoke with the right manager, it's not like we havn't made decent signings. Same with West Ham? If Cambiasso wants to spend the end of his career playing mid-table unambitious football then fine, let him go.

Just move on ! We need at least two CM asap.It was a huge risk changing manager at this stage but our owners are risking our prem league place at this rate.I am beginning to think they know nothing about football !!!

Straight swap for N'Zonzi anyone?

Straight swap of a player we dont own for N'Zonzi?  I'd be amazed if we pulled that off.....

I'm losing the will to live with this. I honestly thought the bond between player and fans/club would be enough for him to re-sign, unless he had his heart set on managing back in Italy. The deathly silence is just too much! It surely must come down to the club sacking Pearson.

he will make a decision this week aparently and aparently it's nothing to do with pearson staying or going, just because pearson has gone the world keeps spinning, and if he doesn't sign so be it we can get GTF to fill the void

Anyone who is getting impatient about this just think back to last summer with him!

Agree but if he does stay, he is missing vital pre-season training and you'd think as a professional he'd train with us anyway. He missed pre-season last year and took time to get up to speed. There were real contractual complications last year. ah well - hopefully he'll be on the plane to Austria.
