N'golo Kante - Medical passed according to Radio Leicester

It happens at a lot of clubs these days, doesn't Rodgers have to have his signings done by a committee.

Not always successful but could be ok with Walsh record.

Interesting, shows how much faith the club have in our scouting system, perhaps that's why we're going for Hiddink, literally just give him the players and let him get on with it. Would probably feel a bit more at ease knowing they are still following their same format for signings.

My thoughts exactly. Would restore a little confidence - also would point towards retaining a philosophy that we started to see the beginnings of under NP.

Thought the same. Their loyalties to Pearson will be tested when he eventually walks into a job.

Slowly regaining a little faith if we're pulling this off.

If anything can help me get passed them sacking Nigel is them bringing in some players that give me confidence.

Unless Hiddink comes in and thinks he's crap, then we'll have him in the reserves until January.

I do really hope we still sign him. I think he could be massive for us. Exactly what we need in the middle of the park. Doesn't leave players alone for a second (vardy esque),Good Tackler, vast pace seems to be very down to earth. Typical Pearson type player  :pearson:

I always quite liked Fernandes to be honest. I'd have him back now.

A casualty of the sven era. I'm sure I heard he still wanted to play for us but was frozen out when when NP arrived. Who knows.

So £10m for Kante, potentially £15m for Austin, £7m on Okazaki and £3m for Huth.

This is the kind of spending spree i've been craving!!

He said he wasn't interested in playing for us without Sven.

He was often crap anyway, played well in the early local derbies iirc, but very poorly in others.

The 24-year-old defensive midfielder is also wanted by Marseille but Caen's general manager has labelled the French giants' offer as 'disrespectful'

Leicester City have agreed a deal to sign N'Golo KanteCaen's general manager Xavier Gravelaine has revealed.

The 24-year-old defensive midfielder made 37 appearances in Ligue 1 last season as Caen finished 13th in the table.

Leicester have yet to agree personal terms with Kante, while Marseille have also made an offer for the midfielder, although Gravelaine has labelled the French giants' bid ‘disrespectful’.

“At this present time, N'Golo Kante will not sign for Marseille,” said Gravelaine. “The current offer for N'Golo Kante from Marseille lacks respect.

“We will reach an agreement with Leicester City in the coming hours, the discussions will then be with the player.

“Financially we have no worries, it is not a problem for us to keep him.”

Ian Stringer ‏@StringerSport  6m

Feel sorry for #LCFC - they're now a transfer window free hit for agents. No mgr to deny/upset with links & club now leverage for real deal

As much as I don't like the guy, he may have a point here

It depends how involved the manager was in the financial side of deals in the first place.

Pearson seemed to suggest he didn't even get involved until the fee and wages were agreed?

He said that in a Stringer interview so he of all people should remember it.

Because Pearson always denied links to players in the press, didn't he?

Fair point

Yeah that is true, however most agents wouldn't know that. Whether Nige had an influence or not, it's still an opportunity for agents to jump on.

Yep he was good against Cov and maybe Forest but did nothing else to deserve the credit he seems to get on here.
