AKCJ Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 lmao. Clear pen. Scenes if they score this after Iniesta should have been sent off.
AKCJ Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 Gotta be honest. Man City have a good shout at winning this.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 Barca out in the quarters, fantastic performance by Atletico
johnny the fox Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 Barca 77% possession..they didn't win...this can't be right.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 Barca out in the quarters, fantastic performance by Atletico It was actually a great performance from them in both legs - they defended like beasts in both games and I love to see that against teams such as Barca. That said, I'm not too sure I'd be comfortable with supporting them as a fan every week - they're q bit toi good at the dark arts for me.
ScouseFox Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 Gotta be honest. Man City have a good shout at winning this. they are comfortably, by a distance the worst side left in it, with arguably the worst manager and the least european experience. something, somewhere will have to go horribly, horribly wrong for everyone else if they were to win it.

I could see them beating Bayern in the Semi's couldn't you? In fact, it's almost written that this will happen!
Sharpe's Fox Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 Athleti are something else. Simeone is comfortably the best manager in the world with the way he coaches, organizes and motivates his players imo

I think you're being a bit harsh. Obviously there is a gap but that Chelsea side was a hell of a lot worse.
ScouseFox Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 I think you're being a bit harsh. Obviously there is a gap but that Chelsea side was a hell of a lot worse. well yeah chelsea were rubbish, but a hell of a lot went wrong that year. like i said it's not impossible but they've got no chance if everyone else plays their best. they won't score past atletico, their defence would get ripped to shreds by bayern and ronaldo would beat them by himself. good luck to them but can't see how they go through without a lot of luck or their oppo massively underperforming (like psg did to a certain extent).

I wouldn't say I have been all that impressed with Bayern, could be close... Real and Atletico though well I can't see Man City beating either
Mrfox452 Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 i hate the term "fraud" but pep guardiola, what a fu cking joke of a man. can't wait for him to go to city and them to finish about 8th. awful.Agreed Pep is a joke. But no way will he fail at Man City, god knows how many millions he will have to spend. No way anyone can fail with so much cash.

With Real if you catch Ronaldo on an off day (not all that often in the champions league) then they're beat and Bayern have seriously slowed down in the second half of the season. All depends on Kompany, De Bruyne and Aguero. All injury prone but if they get a few games under their belts before the next round then they've got a chance.
filbertway Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 Leicester V Atletico would be the most painfully boring game ever. 10 men sat in their own box and then Riyad v Griezman having a one on one for 90 minutes.

filbertway Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 Can't wait! My money is on Mahrez Think I'd be on griezman, but it will be pretty entertaining till they hit the wall of men haha. The Morgan v Godin one on one would be a good watch
Dan Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 I like to see Atletico do well because I do see them as a similar sort of side to us. They're build around a team ethic, super organisation and being effective. I think they're better than us, don't get me wrong, but we are similar sorts of sides. I want them to go on and win the whole thing. I'm with Scouse. Man City are comfortably the worst side left in it, but like we saw in 2012 they're in with a genuine shout of winning it here. PSG didn't turn up and Barcelona ran into the one side that I think could've beaten them over two legs, and they did. Couple of strange ones here... All four ties ended 3-2 on aggregate. Weird. Also... imagine a scenario where Man City have finished 5th in the league, where their only way of qualifying for the Champions League next year is by winning it, and they come up against Bayern Munich of all teams in the final.... so Guardiola's in a position where he pays for winning the Champions League by not being in it next year or gets in it through losing the final
Finnegan Posted 14 April 2016 Posted 14 April 2016 I really, really hope we don't have to play Atletico next year. Probably the only team we can't out-Leicester.
MC Prussian Posted 14 April 2016 Posted 14 April 2016 I really, really hope we don't have to play Atletico next year. Probably the only team we can't out-Leicester. Why so cautious? As we've seen this season, anything is possible. Even us winning in a potential Champions League tie against Atlético. Knowing Leicester, overcoming "smaller" teams could pose an even bigger challenge.
Finnegan Posted 14 April 2016 Posted 14 April 2016 images of stuffing Real 3-1 with a Jamie Vardy hattrick in Madrid before scraping to the spawniest 1-0 win ever against BATE Borisov courtesy of a 93rd minute Okazaki toe poke from 3 yards.
kingcarr21 Posted 14 April 2016 Posted 14 April 2016 So what are peoples predictions for the semi final draw. I think at some point Man City will face Bayern but will it be now or in the final? I'm going to say Man City vs Real Madrid Atletico vs Bayern With it being a Guardiola match up in the final Man City vs Bayern. That would be surreal
kushiro Posted 14 April 2016 Posted 14 April 2016 That De Bruyne goal was a bit 'Mahrez at Watford', wasn't it? The touch needed to be perfect to set it up, then a cool and precise side-foot finish through the crowd from the edge of the box. (This comment's a bit late - just watching the highlights programme over here)
purpleronnie Posted 14 April 2016 Posted 14 April 2016 I'm sure bayern and both madrids will be hoping for Man city. I would want to avoid the Madrids, bayern have looked vunerable but it would still be massive task for Man city to make it through.
GaelicFox Posted 14 April 2016 Posted 14 April 2016 I fear athletico will lose their soul when they move into the new stadium There is something about the community and the stadium that is spiritual right now. Simone must be considered one of the top 5 coaches in Europe if not the world. Would be great to see him here in England.
