I'd like us to stick with what we have and reassess next season or January transfer window. We should only bring a striker in if we get a chance to get someone who is superior than what we have or we get an offer that's too good to turn down for one of our strikers.

Raw Dykes Posted 25 June 2015 Posted 25 June 2015 I think there might be room for one more attacking player. If Mahrez and Nuge are fighting for the CAM role, that leaves just Vardy, Ulloa and Krama up front. CM and CB are much bigger priorities, though.

I agree 2 midfielders and c/b but I think another striker / quality attacking midfielder wouldn't go amiss
AKCJ Posted 25 June 2015 Posted 25 June 2015 Vardy, Kramaric, Ulloa and Nugent can all do a job. We're currently lacking CMs and a decent right back. Maybe a winger too.

Nugent will fight Mahrez for the CAM role as I don't think he can cut it in the premiership upfront. Get the cheque book out & get Charlie Austin in. That will leave us with Austin, Vardy, Ulloa & Kramaric with Nuge as back up.

The rest are no good.
kingfox Posted 25 June 2015 Posted 25 June 2015 If Wood goes then I'd say yes; however I think he will strengthen by getting a wide player instead of a proper striker, as long as they chip in with a few goals & assists then we'll be alright.

Get Vardy having a word then you would have incredible options available. Vardy for his pace & workrate. Ulloa for his aerial ability & workrate. Kramaric for his amazing technical ability. Austin for his proven goal scoring record. Would be over the moon with that.

Xen Posted 25 June 2015 Posted 25 June 2015 We're fine as we are. If we continue the 3-4-1-2 then we've got ulloa, vardy and Kramaric up front with Nugent and mahrez in behind. If we get injuries, then we could play a CM in that CAM role (king springs to mind, or a new signing) and push one of nugent/mahrez up front. A slight change of shape might be required, but we've got the quality in depth to be able to cope. A CM signing is essential, though. Kante, Cambiasso, King, Drinkwater and James would be a good selection, but one more quality signing on top of those would really establish our midfield as a top-half-quality unit. Not sure what else we need. We have 4 recognised CBs (was, wes, Huth, moore) as well as fuchs and RDL who can both do a job there if needed, so I'm not convinced that that area needs strengthening. Another right sided winger maybe, to challenge Albrighton for those matches when we go 4 4 2? Another defensive minded right full back to replace Simpson? These could be the same signing...
