Bagworthblue Posted 25 June 2015 Posted 25 June 2015 Anyone have any idea what revenue we receive for hosting? above and beyond on the day sales, ticket revenue and brand exposure?

bovril Posted 25 June 2015 Posted 25 June 2015 Argentina vs Romania we get a beef steak and an elaborately embroidered pillow.

Spudulike Posted 25 June 2015 Posted 25 June 2015 Well it certainly won't do much for the King Power brand.

FantasticMrFuchs Posted 26 June 2015 Posted 26 June 2015 ticket sales for the king power stadium games are very poor apparently, due to the high cost of tickets.
lgfualol Posted 26 June 2015 Posted 26 June 2015 ticket sales for the king power stadium games are very poor apparently, due to the high cost of tickets. And all the teams playing here are teams nobody wants to watch.
Footballwipe Posted 26 June 2015 Posted 26 June 2015 ticket sales for the king power stadium games are very poor apparently, due to the high cost of tickets. And that's not even a surprise... Look at the prices Argentina v Tonga - Cat A: £150 Cat B: £115 Cat C: £75 Cat D: £50 (Sunday 14:30) Canada v Romania - Cat A: £60 Cat B: £45 Cat C: £35 Cat D: £15 (16:45 on a Tuesday) Argentina v Namibia - Cat A: £85 Cat B: £65 Cat C: £35 Cat D: £20 (12:00 Sunday) Also worth noting that there are no concession prices for category A and B seats, so a family of four in category A for Canada v Romania, powerhouses of international rugby, would be £240. I hope there are many, many empty seats, it might teach World Rugby and the the England organising committee a lesson.
Frank to be Posted 26 June 2015 Posted 26 June 2015 You'd literally have to pay me for my time watching that crap never mind me paying for it. What does the sport of rugby think it is charging those prices for such awful games
Webbo Posted 26 June 2015 Posted 26 June 2015 http://www.quora.com/How-much-does-it-cost-to-rent-a-football-stadiumI know someone who works for The Tigers and it was 16000 2 or 3 years ago.edit. Actually he said it cost 16000 to run the stadium on a match day so the hiring charge would be a lot higher than that.
hairy Posted 26 June 2015 Posted 26 June 2015 I hope there are many, many empty seats, it might teach World Rugby and the the England organising committee a lesson. I saw an article, on the BBC I think, that was saying the home of rugby (Leicester) had fallen out of love with the world cup and they had hardly sold any tickets Sorry it was the Telegraph http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/rugbyunion/rugby-world-cup/11623008/Why-Leicester-the-biggest-rugby-city-in-England-has-fallen-out-of-love-with-the-Rugby-World-Cup.html
