Pearson Sacked

Allardyce would bring Nolan.

He's followed him round like a fookin puppy for years.

And Downing and probably James Collins (is he still at West Ham)?

Christ almighty....

and probably bring in Cattermole. The ****ing idiot. I'm with you.

The real fear is that it seems to be Pearson that holds the place together. The club is in a farcical state, relegated, Pearson takes over, championship, play-offs (albeit disappointment), leaves. New owners, new manager, get smacked away at Portsmouth, sacked. New manager, throws money at anything and everything, money bags Leicester now in a farcical state again, get smacked at home to Millwall, sacked. Pearson returns, play-offs (albeit disappointment), championship, survival, sacked. Again. One step forward, two steps back. Spare me.

Innit - whole thing is a feckin joke we need to make a quick appointment and fast if this drags on the players will get annoyed

Avram Grant and Steve Kean combo please

Great Decision. Cant believe some of the crap im reading on here you all seem to forget that most people wanted him sacked in march when we were rooted to the bottom. Nige got lucky keeping us up. Bring on a new era!!

Or players like Creswell and Sakoh who we also wanted.

I doubt they'd leave West Ham.

The aforementioned most probably would.

Is this true? Just saw it mentioned in the Tinder thread and noticed Safehouse posts. Also the forum has been acting  strange since I got home. Clicking next unread and going back to page one in threads.

You miss the point, he signed them for West Ham. Why couldn't he sign similar for us? I'm not saying they will come here.

Nah, just 21 pages of WUMing.

I just can't see it being about his son. The signings seem to have been LT targets, just a bit odd.

You have to hope the owners have thought long and hard about this and have a good idea who the replacement is.

"fundamental differences in perspective"

I personally don't think it has anything to do with the well publicized incidents.

To me this means there is a irreconcilable difference of opinion about the long term vision/direction/strategy for the club.

That worries me far more than losing Pearson.

I always feel the owners have unrealistically high expectations about where the club can go.

42,000 stadiums & European football have been mentioned & they want it now!

I'm worried. It's taken years to build & I thought the owners had learned the lessons of their earlier mistakes but this signals to me they haven't!

He goes out a legend for the Great Escape.

Can't do anything now but hope the next manager gets the same backing Nige did from the players. The board apparently is not about results but more about their views on respectability. Me I'm more about results on the pitch and Nige had us heading in the right direction.

I was talking about West Ham players?

I think you've missed my point.

you are a ****

Good to know you signed up just to call me that. Strangely proud. It's not really about the club. I am, always have been and always will be a Leicester fan, and that was my immediate reaction, more an unfiltered, straight to keyboard synapse spasm. I just sort of want this decision to hit the owners square in the money belt as of right now.

If it wasn't his signing then why would Walsh speak of it as "exactly what we need".

He's not gonna say 'he wasn't my 1st choice'

Or 'he's not up to it' is he,

But as stated it was just a theory of mine

Great.

Where on earth does this leave the new signings we've made now? What if the new manager doesn't fancy Okazaki, the man we've just paid £7m or so for? What about Huth and Fuchs? What will happen with Cambiasso now?

I thought the circus had left town.

Hate to break the news to you but in 118 minutes, Esteban cambiasso is no longer our player.

Wow...

This one has came out of nowhere and has shocked me! After the finish, squad harmony etc only thing I can think is that was with Thailand events.

Someone posted here few weeks ago that why it was so quite with Pearson with new signings etc maybe this explains it now? Was these even Pearsons signings?

This wouldn't be a knee jerk reaction unfortunately mate. I'm sure there is a short list and maybe a replacement been lined up for few weeks so may have already had a say in the signings.

Plus we have brought in better players than we already had so I'm sure their security will be fine par performance related

The fact that Lineker immediately expressed incredulity over this is I think quite telling and suggests to me that Nigel is not being usurped by another waiting in the wings. I may be mistaken but in irrespective of friction building from some of the events last season this was very likely an inflammatory irreconcilable conflict, there is nothing in the pipeline and no master plan concerning a successor.

I have never been a fan of NP and if his problem is because of his ridiculous son then the owners were quite right to get rid BUT on the basis of form and squad development this makes no sense. I fear we will not now not see a return of EC and other targets will want to wait and see who comes in.The club NEED to start well and recruitment especially in midfield is vital.A new appointment needs to be fast and decisive. The owners have bought the club stability, financial muscle, and success so in the end we have to trust their judgement. I am just thankful we have JR as our DoF because team morale that has been so important is a fragile thing.

I'm going through the motions, intially gutted, now i'm fuming.

Stages

The stages, popularly known by the acronym DABDA, include:[2]

  1. Denial — One of the first reactions is denial, wherein the survivor imagines a false, preferable reality.
  2. Anger — When the individual recognizes that denial cannot continue, it becomes frustrated, especially at proximate individuals. Certain psychological responses of a person undergoing this phase would be: "Why me? It's not fair!"; "How can this happen to me?"; '"Who is to blame?"; "Why would God let this happen?".
  3. Bargaining — The third stage involves the hope that the individual can avoid a cause of grief. Usually, the negotiation for an extended life is made with a higher power in exchange for a reformed lifestyle. Other times, they will use anything valuable against another human agency to extend or prolong the life. People facing less serious trauma can bargain or seek compromise.
  4. Depression — "I'm so sad, why bother with anything?"; "I'm going to die soon so what's the point?"; "I miss my loved one, why go on?"

During the fourth stage, the individual becomes saddened by the certainty of death. In this state, the individual may become silent, refuse visitors and spend much of the time mournful and sullen.

  5. Acceptance — "It's going to be okay."; "I can't fight it, I may as well prepare for it."

In this last stage, individuals embrace mortality or inevitable future, or that of a loved one, or other tragic event. People dying may precede the survivors in this state, which typically comes with a calm, retrospective view for the individual, and a stable condition of emotions.
