Pearson Sacked

Recommended Posts

Well the statement sounds like the owners want to push on from last season and Pearson perhaps thinks that's unachievable.he's always been grounded but more often than not owners want success and want it quickly, but this might be the owners first mistake since they took over....we'll see.

Whilst this is clearly a gutting shame... It also provides an interesting chance to build on what we have with some fresh ideas and impetus. Get the right man in and we may find that the base that has been built will flourish even further.

And if it doesn't... well who could discount a third spell at the club?

As others have mentioned, Sousa, Eriksson?  They have form.  In fact, without Pearson where would they be now?

Andre Villas Boas will join Leicester as manager with his former Chelsea colleague Steve Walsh continuing as assistant manager. Esteban Cambiasso will become player coach. Walsh along with DF Rudkin has overseen summer recruitment.

Pearson's departure has been planned for a number of weeks hence his media absence.

Sacked today so don't have to pay any compensation?

The Thais own the club, they can do what the hell they like. The Thai incident was a farce and embarrassing for the owners, compounded by his son being a protagonist. IF Pearson stood up for his son then entirely understandable if this was the icing on the cake for the owners

We were a force to be reckoned with in the end. A team that stuck by each other, the manager, the fans. People talked shit about us and we all put up a shield and just cracked on and did what needed to be done.

We didn't have the best players but we ended that season in Champions League form because EVERYONE stuck together.

ALL of that spirit will be gone now.

Doomed IMO.
