Pearson Sacked

i thought the same.

Big Sam has signed quite a few we've been linked with in the past oddly, with Walsh being his scout atneevastle I wouldn't be shocked if they shared some of the same network of scouts. Not linked with Downing and jenkinson though.

No, not Allardyce. Please. He signed Andy Carroll FFS!

Great Decision. Cant believe some of the crap im reading on here you all seem to forget that most people wanted him sacked in march when we were rooted to the bottom. Nige got lucky keeping us up. Bring on a new era!!

Allardyce would bring Nolan.

He's followed him round like a fookin puppy for years.

And Downing and probably James Collins (is he still at West Ham)?

Christ almighty....

This is a bloody disgrace I am fuming he was the best manager we have had in years. Can't believe it after out rub in of top form and the players on his side. We ate ****ed next season.

To think I logged onto Foxestalk to see if we'd signed Cambiasso! And instead it turns out that our owners have morphed into Vincent Tan. Totally gutted and hacked off by this senseless decision. Doubt you're reading this forum, Nige, but thanks for everything. You'll go down as a legend.

feels like a massive kick in the nuts after a great season. Just goes to show that people where right to be worried about the consequences of the thailand episode were going to be.

absolutely gutted that nige has gone. He built a really great relationship with the fans and players. What a great ride.

I cannot help but think the signing of the Japanese player might have ruffled persons feathers,

That it wasn't 'his' signing, and with him signing they may have asked that along with wood he get rid of another striker, maybe nugent,to which Pearson declines and a difference of opinion pursues, just my opinion amongst many others?

Im so pissed off what a Ludacris decision honestly.

Does anyone think the Thais want him to spend 50M+ and bring in some top players and he won't do it? or purely just to do with the incident with his son?

Every time I try to convince myself things will work out, I think about how we went about replacing Bloomfield, O'Neill and Pearson the first time around. I think about the total dross served up from 2000 - 2002, 2004 - 2008 and 2010 - 2011. It's funny how people can sit there going "Ah, but what about October to March" with a straight face, and pretend everyone else thinks short term.

Have to say I felt like there was an element of inevitability about this.

We saw all season the way he reacted to perceived attacks against his players - he will have undoubtedly stuck up for his son even if he's in the wrong.  Which I can't imagine would have gone down very well at all.

I dread to think where we go now as a club - I was so excited until now.

Is he a new backer? lol

If it wasn't his signing then why would Walsh speak of it as "exactly what we need".

The real fear is that it seems to be Pearson that holds the place together. The club is in a farcical state, relegated, Pearson takes over, championship, play-offs (albeit disappointment), leaves. New owners, new manager, get smacked away at Portsmouth, sacked. New manager, throws money at anything and everything, money bags Leicester now in a farcical state again, get smacked at home to Millwall, sacked. Pearson returns, play-offs (albeit disappointment), championship, survival, sacked. Again. One step forward, two steps back. Spare me.

The owners have a lot of explaining to do

Fuming! I did want him sacked at points last season but what a shambolic decision. He seemed to have turned it around and things were looking up. Gutted.

i've got know idea obviously, so this is just speculation, but maybe Pearson has been behaving like the complete jeb end that we all know he's capable of being and the board have just had no choice  :dunno: ....and im saying this as a Pearson fan

Or players like Creswell and Sakoh who we also wanted.

Unfortunately true - in the last 25 years we've made 3 good appointments; two of which have been Pearson. The next move is all important and with our track record it'll likely be to drive off a cliff.
