NeilLCFC Posted 3 July 2015 Posted 3 July 2015 No manager and still bidding for players, including a bid that would be our record signing!
simon789us Posted 3 July 2015 Posted 3 July 2015 God only knows what's going on heard that new manager may be announced on Monday
weller54 Posted 3 July 2015 Posted 3 July 2015 Monday we'll sign Messi and appoint Sir Alex Ferguson. ..Nothing would surprise me with this club !
foxes_rule1978 Posted 3 July 2015 Posted 3 July 2015 Well we still have a scouting network and I guess Rudkin would be handling the negotiations ... who knows maybe the owners have their man and are trying to tie up deals for players he suggested... maybe
TeamRocket Posted 3 July 2015 Posted 3 July 2015 Think we just not gonna get any other types of players anymore
FrankieWorthoYaggedMyWife Posted 3 July 2015 Posted 3 July 2015 Vichai had been on the bugle! He is behaving like Tony Montana!
lgfualol Posted 3 July 2015 Posted 3 July 2015 Some players may be unsettled after Nige left? Trying to cover their backs in case any leave?
jamesmilner Posted 3 July 2015 Posted 3 July 2015 Very strange goings on . I remember Neville giving Svens lot massive contracts and it went tits up ! Hope he's not on the case again ??
Frank to be Posted 3 July 2015 Posted 3 July 2015 Doubt Pearson had too much to do with transfers anyway. It'll be the same people doing the same job they have been doing all along.
Sunbury Fox Posted 3 July 2015 Posted 3 July 2015 Had exactly the same reaction to the news about Austin. Can only think there is someone lined up as manager who is just agreeing a contract and who has sanctioned the bid. And are we planning to play 11 strikers in next season's starting line up?!

Sounds like it could be 'Arry!
foxfanazer Posted 3 July 2015 Posted 3 July 2015 Monday we'll sign Messi and appoint Sir Alex Ferguson. ..Nothing would surprise me with this club !Either that or Jay Emmanuel Thomas and Steve CotterillSounds like it could be 'Arry!Just don't.
Rusko187 Posted 3 July 2015 Posted 3 July 2015 I would say Hiddink is further down the line then expected, they would NOT sack Pearson unless something had already been put in place! Truth is they have to be careful in the manner in which the new manager is appointed.. They won't want it to appear as though Pearson was sacked for the new man which by the looks of things is effectively what happened. As for Austin? No real complaints... just hope we don't come back with £20m bid! Rudkin seems more switched on then Neville so let's just roll with this.
eunmac Posted 3 July 2015 Posted 3 July 2015 And if you had to choose between Austin & Ulloa? Hmmm let me think.
Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 3 July 2015 Posted 3 July 2015 Shambles. It's all well and good saying the scouting team identify the players but surely the manager has to give the okay that he actually wants them? Losing more faith as the days go by.
shailen Posted 3 July 2015 Posted 3 July 2015 I don't know what has happened to us since the new owners have come in. We have always been in the spotlight. In the previous five years to 2010 we barely got any exposure.
My Nads Posted 3 July 2015 Posted 3 July 2015 No manager and still bidding for players, including a bid that would be our record signing! It doesn't make much sense, but we will know more if they appoint a new manager on Monday. I can't see why Austin would want to come here without knowing who the manager would be and competing with quite a few other forwards. If he's a replacement for Wood I'm happy with it, but can't see it happening just yet.
Bagworthblue Posted 3 July 2015 Posted 3 July 2015 None of you are real - this is all fantasy - I have entered the twilight zone or a wierd parallel world - only explanation
Christoph Posted 3 July 2015 Posted 3 July 2015 Fair enough if they get Austin in but surely we need wingers and centre mids in not another striker.
ElusiveEd Posted 3 July 2015 Posted 3 July 2015 We did all ask what a "Director Of Football" was and what his duties would be. If I remember right, a 'Proper" answer was never given and interviews were not forthcoming. I guess we are now getting some answers?
My Nads Posted 3 July 2015 Posted 3 July 2015 If Austin is available then we would be daft to not put an offer in, it doesn't really matter who's pulling the strings.
TheReaper87 Posted 3 July 2015 Posted 3 July 2015 For me the Manager must have already been decided and, paid respect to Pearson in acknowledging that he knew areas we needed to strengthen in by allowing Pearsons so called targets to be bought in. Can only think that the Austin bid is based on the probability that 1 or 2 of our present strike force will be leaving, Nugent and Vardy I reckon.
FrankieWorthoYaggedMyWife Posted 3 July 2015 Posted 3 July 2015 didnt someone say we had 2 plus Cambi lined up for this week! Chaz and Kunty?!
Bagworthblue Posted 3 July 2015 Posted 3 July 2015 it is clear now - they want high 1st team top 10 quality not just to start games but in every position on the bench and even with some of equal quality not making the bench. Hammond is the only exception and I think he signed damn quick when he realised his contract offer may get withdrawn if he hesitated. this puts at risk many such as Nugent, drinkwater, Maybe even Morgan, etc I think their ambition is greater than we can comprehend
