I understand the reaction, but I want to suggest tapping the brakes on the whole Chicken Little bit. Honestly, I've always thought Preki is a great manager. And, sure, write him off before he's even landed in the UK, but I think you may be pleasantly surprised. Preki specializes in taking crap teams and making them alright. He won MLS coach of the year in 2007 while managing literally the worst team MLS has ever seen, Chivas USA. He didn't last in Toronto because NO ONE lasts in Toronto... they've been through 8 coaches in in 7 years. He is a great personality, has a great soccer mind (football... whatever bitches), and players like to play for him. This guy is no John Carver... in the good way. For what it's worth, I would say Preki is in my top 5 MLS coaches to manage in the Prem. Get ready to have a lot of Eastern Europeans on the team. Preki LOVES Eastern Europeans. For now, check out this sick Preki goal that sealed a US win against Brazil in 1998. Let me know if you have specific questions and I will reply with somewhat vague responses.

His ability to identify, bring in and build a talented squad is the ideal quality a technical director should have.
