STUHILL Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 Bob Bradley prefers a reactive (in opposed to proactive) style of football. He prefers to stay sound defensively by emphasizing pressure on the ball and his players staying disciplined and compact in their positioning, as opposed to pushing up the field or attempting risky passes. He preferred a 4-2-3-1 or a 4-5-1 formation, with two holding/defensive midfielders sitting in front of the four-man defense. He would use a bigger striker to hold up the ball for his overlapping outside midfielders (or wingbacks). He was also known to use a 4-4-2 formation, often utilizing two strikers with different talents, a bigger, stronger holding forward and a faster, smaller attacking forward. Sounds like Big Sam bore fest!
Guest MattP Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 Why do you all think we're getting Bradley? Is it just clinging on to the hope that surely, surely they can't be appointing a manager from the third tier in the states or is there some reason to think it might happen? Because people are now trying to convince themselves that Preki is so ridiculous it has to be something else with it. Like last week some started trying to believe Sven actually "didn't do a bad job" as we were on the verge of appointing Goose Hoodwink. It's a level of self-delusion only football supporters are capable of.

benpicko Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 Wait, I'm confused now. Why is Bradley a good thing then? What's been said about his play style sounds utter wank
Mark_w Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 Wait, I'm confused now. Why is Bradley a good thing then? What's been said about his play style sounds utter wank I don't think anyone's saying it's a good thing, it's just a slightly less awful appointment than we're currently expecting.
gerrytaggart Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 Whats going on? 65 pages on this Predrag fella. Ive been visiting way too regularly for the last two weeks, first just waiting for cambiasso to sign...Then all this shit. Ive had a headache now for the last week. its 1.32 ffs.
Dan Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 Racist? Never heard anything so ridiculous so I assume you are joking haha. I was buzzing for Pearson to come back and I thought most were but I could be wrong I spose. He did divide opinions. As for the Thai's not knowing what they are doing, well it does seem that way so far but will see who they appoint and how they do before do judge, as they have done a lot of good for the club and we still don't know the full reason for sacking Pearson at such a strange time. Time will tell but can see a press conference coming within next few days!! Yeah I am don't worry. Just someone on here who for some reasons thinks that doubting our owners is racist, despite their track record which as has been pointed out, isn't actually very promising.

Sounds like Big Sam bore fest! Bradley has copied, pasted and experimented. The Chicago Fire's 3-5-2 was built around Lubos Kubik's playmaking ability from the back. His U.S. national team tactics freed up Clint Dempsey and Landon Donovan to attack from midfield and provided a launching pad for Jozy Altidore and Charlie Davies in a two-forward setup. Bradley tries to combine high-pressure defending with a composed, possession game offensively. "His soccer was more about possession, keeping the ball, looking to counter-attack when it's on," New England Revolution assistant coach Tom Soehn said of Bradley. "I think it was a balance of playing direct and, now, keeping possession. Because once you've played direct you've got teams back and now you can balance your possession a little more. sounds a bit like us without the the possession bit .
placidcasual Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 An interview with Neville Southall and what he thinks of Preki. "Worst player" http://royalbluemersey.sbnation.com/2012/12/18/3778010/Neville-Southall-interview-Everton

"Worst player" http://royalbluemersey.sbnation.com/2012/12/18/3778010/Neville-Southall-interview-Everton When a bloke who was about 45 years old and 22 stone, had a tashe and played in Y Front's calls you shit, it's bad.
enmac Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 To be a Leicester fan, or not to be? That is the question. I'm also concerned about the Scandanavian connection. Tragedy beckons I sooth. Sent from my BNTV600 using Tapatalk
Swiss_tony Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 why do people think bob bradley? makes sense because preki was his assistant at Chivas before he took the USA national job. doing well in norway. could give the Thais an 'in' to american media. it's all just guesswork though.

Wondered that too. but man that's a big risk to take. It's one thing to have a japanese player to help the asian profile. If he doesn't pan out you let him sit on the bench while the rest of the team gets on with their business. If your manager doesn't pan out it's a pretty big disruption.
Lynex Da Roo Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 If Pearson was indeed sacked because of the damaged reputation to the club then I fail to see how this will improve things. Hoping that this is some kind of odd diversion tactic/media joke.
Harry - LCFC Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 So strange that the idea of bringing players/managers in to draw attention from certain parts of the world is being discussed seriously. I'm not knocking the people talking about it, it's just odd that it's something that we can take seriously now. Feels like the game loses a bit of value if the aim of recruitment is to build up a reputation rather than a capable team
TheLittleBigMan Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 I don't know which thread to turn to anymore. Why am I doing this to myself? - for the love of god..
Jordan Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 If Leicester City really wanted to raise their profile in the United States, appointing Preki and/or Bob Bradley to coaching roles cannot have much more than just a negligible effect. Bob Bradley is well-known among soccer fans, and many of us here hold him in high regard, but he's not a rock star and people aren't going to switch on Leicester instead of Chelsea because of Bradley. Preki has an even lower profile. People would care a little more if they brought over Michael Bradley, or If Leicester brought Landon Donovan out of retirement. Outside of that, the best thing Leicester could do to get Americans interested in the club is to win, or at least hang around in the Premier League, which NBC promotes big-time. We didn't have any Americans at the club last year, and that didn't hurt out profile.
HankMarvin Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 Replaced by Paul Buckle, that's the caliabre we are dealing with Yep had to google him Sacked from Cheltenham after 12 games
Guest Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 Replaced by Paul Buckle, that's the caliabre we are dealing with Yep had to google him Sacked from Cheltenham after 12 games hopefully the two of them are doing a job swap.
WiFoxes Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 It has to be Bradley coming in with Preki his #2 right? Bradley is signed up But wants to wait until the league break to leave (last game Sunday). He brought no coaches with him to Stabaek, so he gets his old number 2 Preki on board. Preki's team, Sacramento, **** up the timing by having a press conference for his departure, even though he is staying through the weekend for friendlies, which allows him to come on board at exactly the same time as...Bradley. That's my opinion of what has gone down. Maybe I'm way off and there will be a press conference announcing that Preki is our man tomorrow, but I'd rather go forward with Bradley.
Jattdogg Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 Has to be a prekking joke. No fackin way our owners can be THIS daft. Surely! Please be signing with forest, coventry or anyone but us. Please!!!! Side note it said in the news release that he was accepting a position in the UK. That could mean scotland/NI/wales as well.....so hopefully he is fackin off to celtic
MC Prussian Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 56 pages already on a no-name manager from an American lower-league club? I've seen many things on Foxestalk over the years, but this is certainly among the most bizarre developments ever! How Radosavljevic even got this far as being mentioned as a possible replacement, yet alone a sudden favourite, I'll never know. Some people laugh at the suggestion of Klopp joining. I'm sure they're not laughing anymore now.
