dayday Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 I've just woke up hoping the speculation had died down, now it's worse. I know nothing surprises me at Leicester, but you couldn't make this up if you tried.
Callabinho Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 If these two clowns do get in, I'd imagine a demonstration would take place. I'm certainly not investing into this club if this is the kind of stupidity they are going to subject us too. Nigel brought this club back from the ashes, and so far it looks like the soul is going to be ripped out, once again.
FireFox Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 How is Bob Bradley a "clown"? Why are people so negative toward the idea of him being manager? I'm not saying he will be the greatest manager ever. I'm just curious. Is it because he is American? Or because he had a 36% and 31% win ratio a decade ago in the MLS? Nigel Pearson had a 36% win ratio with Hull and 31% last season. He did great for America and Egypt. And what he has done at Stabæk is incredible.
st albans fox Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 Has to be a prekking joke. No fackin way our owners can be THIS daft. Surely! Please be signing with forest, coventry or anyone but us. Please!!!! Side note it said in the news release that he was accepting a position in the UK. That could mean scotland/NI/wales as well.....so hopefully he is fackin off to celtic More likely Rangers. Tbh, I think that's significant. Most Americans say 'England' when they mean the UK. However, I would wonder why the secrecy. If someone is appointing him as a coach or no 2, why not just announce it. I have tried to get info from my bro in the states but his contacts have revealed nowt or they know nowt.
CosbehFox Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 He won 1 game at a World Cup for the U.S. against Algeria. He won 1 Gold Cup out of 3. He did however led the U.S. to runners up at the Confederations cup. He never qualified for a World Cup or won an African Nations Cup with Egypt. On top of that a great lack of experience in Europe. Denmark is a third rate division similar to Scotland's level.
Foxhateram Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 I put this in the poll, I just can't fathom this. It genuinely looks like this is the guy we are getting. Wtf,? Experienced and successful manager who has reformed our club from top to bottom is sacked in favour of a complete unknown quantity with no experience in managing in England, no matter the premier league. Madness has ensued over the last few weeks and I for one feel like we are losing our identity as a club. It's saddening.
ALC Fox Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 I don't want to jinx it but I cannot believe for a minute that he would get the manager's job here, not after the owners practically offered the job to Hiddink and are making no secret about wanting somebody high-profile. His appointment would be as low-profile as you could get without scraping someone in from the Conference. No offence to the bloke, obviously. I just can't see how they would offer the job to this guy ahead of Lennon or even Cotterill. But, that's not to say he wouldn't be a first team coach. The Bradley-Preki link-up sounds more likely for me. However, I'd be worried about where Shakey and Walsh fit in if that we're to happen. It seems obvious that they would follow Pearson out and join him at wherever he goes next, but I'd rather they stayed as they're a huge part of the stability we've enjoyed in recent years. These really are exciting/worrying/terrifying times. I just can't decide on the most accurate adjective.
Merging Cultures Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 It's the equivalent of a third tier Rugby team manager going to be head coach in the NFL. It just doesn't make sense.
Mike Oxlong Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 Would prefer the Chuckle brothers. At least we know there'd be lots of one-twos.
fox_favourite Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 Not to be disrespectful - actually, sod it I am I will not be happy with this scenario at all!!!! For one, the Yank's league isn't as strong as the Prem and a division 3 side must be equivalent to Sunday League football! Why would this be a step up from one of our most successful managers of recent times?! MLS had Bradley Wright-Philips as their top goal scorer once, when he struggled in the Championship. If our Nige went to the USA he would make any team successful without breaking a sweat! Rant over, now I'm going to calm down and chill at work!!
Len Finsbury Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 I think it's us that have put 2+2 together and come up with 5. Neither of these will end up here as manager. We've all got a bit carried away. Our owners have more sense than this.
1972 Fox Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 These really are exciting/worrying/terrifying times. I just can't decide on the most accurate adjective. I think you should remove exciting from your list of adjectives!
Bagworthblue Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 i am sure there is more to this - have a feeling we will know more today
Fox 4 Life Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 i am sure there is more to this - have a feeling we will know more today Fookin hope so, not sure how much more of this I can take!
roblcfc84 Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 I really can't see this happening, to spend significant amounts of money to reach and survive in the PL to then sack an established manager and replace him with a no name from the MLS third tier would be the most embarrassing/insane decision ever. I would imagine he has a coaching Job somewhere in the football league. The obvious move would be for CR given his availability and expression of interest. Establish a global brand? Not with this guy, I think even BB would be a bad move, just looks good next to this potential disaster. Should the happen however...well! I think we would be truly in the sh1t.
Tielemans63 Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 It's the equivalent of a third tier Rugby team manager going to be head coach in the NFL. It just doesn't make sense. It's like being me promoted from Head of Faculty in a secondary school (which I do now) straight to Secretary of state for education - it'll be a disaster.
Merging Cultures Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 It's like being me promoted from Head of Faculty in a secondary school (which I do now) straight to Secretary of state for education - it'll be a disaster. Don't put yourself down, you might do a good job. Just send your CV in anyway just in case. Pretty sure that's what Predrag did, and then called Mandy to have a word.
FrankieADZ Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 He won 1 game at a World Cup for the U.S. against Algeria. He won 1 Gold Cup out of 3. Denmark is a third rate division similar to Scotland's level. he took the USA to that 2010 world cup from the qualifying group, they topped the group they was in in that 2010 world cup(didnt lose a game in the group stage)lost to Ghana with Egypt im not sure what happened, still has a pretty impressive record from what I can see, plus he took over at a few months before the Port Said riot Also hes not in Denmark, hes in Norway, at Stabæk article on Bradley: http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2015/07/01/why-former-usa-boss-bob-bradley-would-be-the-perfect-manager-for/?utm_medium=share%2Bbutton&utm_campaign=social%2Bmedia&utm_content=/en-gb/2015/07/01/why-former-usa-boss-bob-bradley-would-be-the-perfect-manager-for/&utm_source=Twitter Im by no means a fan, just has a better record than people are actually giving him credit for tbh
Strokes Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 I'm starting to warm to the idea of Harry Redknapp.I'd take peter Reid right now, Sven anyone?
roblcfc84 Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/trainer/verfuegbaretrainer/statistik Surely there is some-one on the list that would be realistic and a good appointment - Montella, Inzaghi and RDM....
Guest Bilo Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 Literally every single manager on the first page of that list would be infinitely preferable to Preki.
weller54 Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 Go Go Go.. The Leicester Lynx 's!!! USA USA USA USA USA USA!!!!..
Finnegan Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 Montella I'd take but as much as I love Superpippo, he's done sod all in management.
Mike Oxlong Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 It's like being me promoted from Head of Faculty in a secondary school (which I do now) straight to Secretary of state for education - it'll be a disaster. Well, at least you couldn't do a worse job than Gove.
