BoyJones Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 If true, this is an incredible gamble by the owners. An unproven coach at senior level, will not improve our brand name in the far east, which seems a key requirement. Totally underwhelming. What's going to happen to Shakey and Walsh and the rest of the support team, if they get the boot as often happens; can't see anything but pain for us fans.
The Doctor Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 Like when though? Wasn't Wenger to arsenal a similar situation to this?
EnglishOxide Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 Its OK lads. Klinnsman recommended him to Klopp as he builds his backroom staff. Sussed it!
Nick Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 I've just read on Charlie Austin's twitter page that he's congratulated his godfather in his "new appointment". I didn't know he was his god son and maybe explains why we bid for Austin last week?
Dan Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 I still don't get why he has a link with Bradley. Because they're both 'American'? Worked together before I think I read someone put. This bloke's also got links to Mandaric. It's all a bit of a co-incidence.
Kitchandro Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 Wasn't Wenger to arsenal a similar situation to this? I'm sure he was at Monaco and did really well in the top division there.
Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 I still don't get why he has a link with Bradley. Because they're both 'American'? This Preki guy was his no.2 at Chivas USA
Tuna Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 I'm sure he was at Monaco and did really well in the top division there. Yes exactly, no comparison whatsoever.
Dan Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 Wasn't Wenger to arsenal a similar situation to this? Wenger had already managed Monaco and won things with them. I'd admit it was a surprise (though I'm too young to really appreciate it all, I'm going off Wikipedia here) but not 'insanity'. This would be insanity and I'm 99% sure it would backfire. This is easily the strangest situation I've ever seen at Leicester.
deejdeej Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 Anyone else dreading what tomorrow might bring? This appointment would be as inspiring as a Gary Barlow prep talk.
EnglishOxide Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 Like when though? Like when Chris Wood put his life on the line to get in the way of Almunias goal kick and scored from it. Insanity but genius.
BlueSi13 Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 Don't know if anyone posted this yet, but... The Norway league has a short summer break between the 12th and 26th. A respectable time for Bob Bradley to leave Stabæk and join us? In time to join for the start of Austria training too, right? "Our next manager will come from Stabaek? Good one boss, as if they even exist!"
benpicko Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 I still don't get why he has a link with Bradley. Because they're both 'American'? Nobody wants him so they're throwing about American names they'd be somewhat satisfied with and pretending they all know each other
STUHILL Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 "Our next manager will come from FC Stabaek? Good one boss, as if they even exist!" Pictures like that make me even more depressed we sacked him! The relationship he had with the players was awesome. Hopefully Klopp can build up a similar one though...
lgfualol Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 Anyone else dreading what tomorrow might bring? This appointment would be as inspiring as a Gary Barlow prep talk. My prediction is: Club stays quiet about manager Foxestalk speculation turns to chaos Dean Hammond comes out with another bland statement for the club website like "lads are appy to be back in trainin" Linked with some shit ligue 2 player
foxes_rule1978 Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 Mandaric is back, he was appointed advisor to the chairman and told him to get rid of Pearson and replace him with Preki... also bid for Austin and Kante...
ealingfox Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 Oh Christ this is absolute dog muck. Why are they doing this to us?
TotalPreki Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 Nobody wants him so they're throwing about American names they'd be somewhat satisfied with and pretending they all know each other He really did work for Bob at Chivas USA: Upon the appointment of Bob Bradley as the United States national team manager, Preki was promoted as head coach of Chivas USA for the 2007 Major League Soccer season.[13] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Preki Preki is going to be on the staff which is why the club won't comment on the rumor or his status one way or the other right now... and occam's razor suggests he'll be working for Bradley again. It's the only scenario that remotely makes sense.
Dan Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 Like when Chris Wood put his life on the line to get in the way of Almunias goal kick and scored from it. Insanity but genius. That was less insane than this.
HankMarvin Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 A statement from Sacramento said he had accepted a position in the United Kingdom, with Preki quoted as saying: “This was not a decision I made lightly. “The opportunity ahead is a lifetime dream for me and a chance to challenge myself at the highest level of the game.” FML
foxes_rule1978 Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 That was less insane than this. Indeed, Wood had a chance of scoring... this has 0.0% chance of working out..
cc_star Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 "Our next manager will come from Stabaek? Good one boss, as if they even exist!" Players hate him
