Premier league experience - Big Sam, Matteo, Bruce, Hiddink, Ranieri, Big Mick, Sean Dyche, AVB, Moyes.  If they want a "name" then you can remove those ones. Hiddink doesn't want it so we're told, it's too early big Sam so they are out, Moyes will probably want to stay in spain for that project out.

So the new manager will be Matteo, Ranieri or AVB.... you heard it here. :D

isnt avb in russia?

If this is true then I would say we'd dodged a bullet. But a bullet would be Cotterill, Bradley, Hiddink etc. - credible, known managers who are unlikely to be successful in a challenging PL position at this stage in their careers, or with their experience. Preki would be more a case of hurling a freshly-coiled turd into the air and eagerly waiting for it to land on you.

I can't see it being anyone who is currently employed, unless they are employed at a low-ish level. If we were going to approach someone in England Steve Bruce is one of the names that jumps out.

And they hadn't contacted Ranieri the last we heard. Which leaves Di Matteo. Which is a highly questionable appointment, of course - especially in the light of Pearson's sacking, but at least he's got some of the credentials you'd tend to look for.

Chill the dude isn't going to be our manager! At the very very most maybe a technical coach but even that is a stretch! Why does it have to be our club.. he could easily be taking a coaching role at any other premier or championship club.

This hysteria is around a few folk lumping on at the bookies after gaining a little inside info. His odds shortened before he even announced he was leaving his post so whoever placed their bets I'd imagine got ridiculous odds.

The fact that the journo hinted that unfortunately some with Pl experience have relegation on there cv tells me it is dyche or Bruce if he knows anything

Bob Bradley as manager.  I'm not one for putting 2 and 2 together, but this must be happening.  Preki has mentioned taking a coaching role and we are apparently in for a striker called Diomande who plays for Stabaek.

There's really no proof that the owners want a name

Thanks for stating the bleeding obvious.

There is no proof of anything is there? No proof they want "premier league experience", no proof that want Hiddink, or Predrag. We should just shut the forum down and talk about nothing until he's announced. Or just continue to edit song lyrics and film titles so they sound a bit like a linked manager. Yeah lets do that.

I'm still fairly certain nobody other than the 5 recruiting have any idea right now who is going to be manager. It was fairly clear we wanted Hiddink and if he has turned us down yesterday then it's going to be at least ab day before anybody catches wind of our next target.

This is the closest I've seen to someone having a mental breakdown.

wouldn't make sense to look at 2 managers who were relegated last season to build on us staying in the league.

Because we're in desperate need of another striker!

And? If you are taking the other blokes "premier league experience" as gospel, why not take other press reports of them wanting someone "high profile".

Who's taking the other blokes 'Premier League experience' as gospel?

This is driving me nuts. Can the club not release some sort of statement saying they are in the process of talks with someone/people, at least have made a shortlist, some one is in temporary charge, anything. And while they're at it assure us that we are not going to have a THIRD TIER American coach as our new manager? Is that too much to ask?

F*** this situation

ME!!!!!!!!! For the purposes of having a fecking discussion, a talking point!! We discuss everything else they say in the press, so why can't we discuss the possibility of them needing a) premier league experience and b) being fairly high profile.  Jesus Chist. I mean it's not a wild theory is it, you make a light hearted post and you get the stating the sodding obvious brigade having a whinge.

Jesus Christ ... Id rather have my apprentice in charge and he has just learnt to tie his laces .... Day by day the candidates get worse .... The guy manages a absolute joke of a team in the MLS what on Earth are our owners thinking ?!
