Carlton Cole

Claudio Ranieri could make Carlton Cole his first signing.

Leicester boss Ranieri is weighing up a move for free agent Cole as he knows him from his time in charge at Chelsea.

Ranieri gave Cole his debut as a teenager in 2002 and described him as the best young player he had ever worked with at the time.

Ex-Blues boss Ranieri is looking to strengthen his strike force after becoming Leicester boss this week.

He has always kept a good relationship with Cole after once labelling him "Tyson" for his size and strength.

Leicester could face competition for former England striker Cole who has also attracted interest from West Brom, Aston Villa and Norwich.

West Brom tried to sign Cole in January but the deal was blocked by West Ham even though his contract was running down.

Cole was furious at the time after being denied a longer deal with West Brom and is now without a club. But there is strong interest.

No No No No No. NO.

Worse than all our existing strikers, injury prone, old, no resale value, and getting him in would surely mean an existing (better) striker would have to make way for him. Terrible news if true.

Ranieri is weighing up a move lol. The agent has been in touch with Rudkin and told him he's available then, brilliant.

If you're going to have a dig at the manager, at least wait until the signing has been made before moaning.
