hopefully this guy and other potential targets see this performance and see us in a different light, would have thought anyone with a knowledge of the game would have been impressed by the performance and also things that need  to be worked on, if they don't think we are trying to go places or don't think they would improve us we can move on because there will be plenty of potential targets liking what they see.

Come on...

A) You doubt that a guy who has 40 caps for Chile and is wanted by a German champions league club is better than King?

B) If he was greedy he would have taken the huge amount of money we're offering. He simply wants to go to a bigger club than us.

To be fair, King has 29 caps for Wales, who are ranked 1 position better than Chile...

From what I've seen today in the first 90 under Ranieri, and what I've read about and seen in the Copa America from Aranguiz I feel he would be an astute addition to the team. His well documented and highly praised passing ability releasing the likes Vardy, Okazaki, Mahrez and Co down the channels could be a devastating outlet for us. Drinkwater and King did well with this today but Aranguiz would likely be an upgrade, at a minimum a strong compliment to the squad.

Would still, despite the media shit storm about him not wanting us (overhyped and overexaggaredtaed imo, it's just a vocal negotiation tactic from him), be very happy to see this one done.

Why are we still talking about this guy when last week, he publicly insulted us on Brazilian national TV? Especially when we have just had a great start to the season without him!

With him replacing Kingy we are top 10 contenders. That's why.

And how did he insult us exactly? Get a grip, said he'd prefer champions league football... Who wouldnt?

Not been following this thread too closely, how did he insult us?

If he's better than King, bring him in.

I somehow doubt that he is, and sounds a greedy bugger.

I'm starting to warm to the King & Kante partnership.

I take it you mean Drinkwater, not King!

If Drinky and King stay at the standard they were today I don't see any new midfielders replacing them in the starting XI.

Let's not get carried away. we played Sunderland who will once again be in the relegation fight.

We don't need you mate, go throw your toys out the pram elsewhere. Don't forget to tune into the champions league final next year and see what you could have had.

Aranguiz is by far better than anything at Leicester at present. Of course we need him. Sunderland will be one of the weaker teams to visit the King Power, we will need a better squad to compete.

I take it you haven't watched Leicester play much this year? I agree he looks great and would add to our squad but not a chance in hell

Would he just walk into the squad, he'd have to fight for his place. He's said he doesn't want to come here, to hell with him, every player in our squad plays for the badge.

How patronising is that comment and uninformed. I really don't have to justify how many games I missed last year, but if you think Aranguiz wouldn't add to this squad you are living in the dark ages.

Did you read my comment? I said he would add to the squad, I just don't think he'd walk right in and I'm not sure I want him, I believe we have a great team and would not want a player, however good, in the side if he doesn't truly want to be here.

He would walk into the squad, not into the starting line up though

He would walk into any team outside the top 4.

That rules us out then....

We don't need him... Having said that, I personally want him to join us, but needing and wanting somebody to join our squad are two completely different things. If he thinks he is too good for our club, then **** him. Cambiasso joined us, a player held in much higher regard all over the world than Aranguiz.

I think we still need either Aranguiz or Inler, or someone else of that quality. Drinkwater and King both played well today, but that was against Sunderland, so we don't know if they will be able to do it consistently yet. If we get one of these guys then and when James comes back, a midfield of Aranguiz/Inler, Kante, James, Drinkwater & King would be great and have good depth as well.
