J.Lisemore Posted 30 July 2015 Posted 30 July 2015 I can see why he wouldn't want to move here, I'm surprised a bigger club hasn't toppled us yet. Although, if he does give us a chance, I don't think he'll be disappointed. EC loved it here (if only for a year) and I would say he was a bit sceptical about joining us.
Babylon Posted 30 July 2015 Author Posted 30 July 2015 There hasn't been any quotes from Charles, just from the guy trying to broker a deal to BL. T Who is his actual agent, their names are linked further back than just this deal.
Max Power Posted 30 July 2015 Posted 30 July 2015 He can't go to Leverkusen if they don't match our fee though right? So at the moment he can come to us or stay at Internacional
Babylon Posted 30 July 2015 Author Posted 30 July 2015 He can't go to Leverkusen if they don't match our fee though right? So at the moment he can come to us or stay at Internacional That's what his rights owners have said, but I'd imagine they are just playing chicken and trying to force their hand.
Ozwin Posted 30 July 2015 Posted 30 July 2015 Is this what top teams have to deal with every transfer window because it sucks arse.
Kitchandro Posted 30 July 2015 Posted 30 July 2015 I doubt we were Cambiasso's first choice either... But he worked out fine. There's a difference between having a preferred choice and consistently allowing your agent to say you've no interest in joining a club whatsoever, when it's very possible you could still have to end up there. It's not exactly endearing and not the attitude you want someone to join us with. If we put up with that it's because we've got no other acceptable options that will pan out. So, I hope this guy signs because we're 'desperate' but I'm not going to get excited about it.
Lesteban Posted 30 July 2015 Posted 30 July 2015 Who is his actual agent, their names are linked further back than just this deal. Are we sure this the players actual agent? It's very confusing, both him and Machado have been referred to as the players agent. Seems they are both acting in the capacity of his agent, just proposing different deals and the winner gets paid. Doesn't seem like a normal arrangement here, where a player has one agent and that is that.
ealingfox Posted 30 July 2015 Posted 30 July 2015 You really should get a 'Period of Exclusivity' as with buying Clubs with scouted players. Although in all likelihood none of it is truly how it happened with any of these deals this year or last it's really distasteful that a West Ham or Villa could capitalise on Walsh's hard work. Imagine if a Fulham or Cardiff had nicked Mahrez off us with a vague promise of 3 months of PL football.
Ricey Posted 30 July 2015 Posted 30 July 2015 Basically all parties know he'll end up at Bayer, we are just being used to bump the price up and all these quotes about "absurd" amounts are part of that.
Stevosevic Posted 30 July 2015 Posted 30 July 2015 Well we'll all find out by close of business tomorrow.
Max Power Posted 30 July 2015 Posted 30 July 2015 That's what his rights owners have said, but I'd imagine they are just playing chicken and trying to force their hand.Maybe. But I'm reliably informed we have the bullet in the needle...
Socks Posted 30 July 2015 Posted 30 July 2015 Is this what top teams have to deal with every transfer window because it sucks arse. No, they just say u wanna sign? And they jump faster than shit of a hot shovel
J.Lisemore Posted 30 July 2015 Posted 30 July 2015 Tomorrow is the one then lads. If no business is done by tomorrow, I'm worried for this season to be honest. Panic buys galore.
dimmerchant Posted 30 July 2015 Posted 30 July 2015 Am I right in saying the fee will be split between the two parties as co-ownership isn't allowed in the prem?
MPH Posted 30 July 2015 Posted 30 July 2015 Tomorrow is the one then lads. If no business is done by tomorrow, I'm worried for this season to be honest. Panic buys galore. Hey. Nout wrong with a good panic buy. Saw some chocolate hobnobs for sale over here in North Carolina. No idea when i was going to see them again so ended up buying the whole shelf's worth. Better to be safe than sorry right? Cost quite a bit, mind. Although in someways i see your point... Went back next week and they had stocked the shelf Full off chocolate Hobnobs again. I suppose the name of the shop should of given me a clue - " world food market" Make of this what you will..

Mike Oxlong Posted 30 July 2015 Posted 30 July 2015 Is this what top teams have to deal with every transfer window because it sucks arse. And that, my friend, is where the problems started!
FireFox Posted 30 July 2015 Posted 30 July 2015 OM fans thinking we're giving up on this now that we got Kante
Babylon Posted 30 July 2015 Author Posted 30 July 2015 OM fans thinking we're giving up on this now that we got Kante Meltdown when we sign both
sphericalfox Posted 30 July 2015 Posted 30 July 2015 Just got off the phone with Ranieri lads, this one's a goer...
NewburyFox Posted 30 July 2015 Posted 30 July 2015 Hopefully Kante signing (assuming he does...) will help to push this over the line, as he will be a fantastic signing. I think getting the first high profile CM to push us to the next level will be the hardest part, so fingers crossed once one joins then others will follow. They will see other players buying into the project and hopefully want to follow suit.
