Gerard Posted 30 July 2015 Posted 30 July 2015 I'm actually beginning to believe we'll get him. It's increasingly looking like we'll be the only offer Inter accepts. I like their Friday deadline as well. Our negotiating team will be able to sell the club and our ambitions to him. He's 26 and never earned mega money. He could sign a five year deal with us and it's worth £12.5m to him which will set him up for life. If it comes to a choice of going to Europe to play for us or staying in Brazil for 25% of our wages it doesn't look like a hard choice. Perhaps he'll want options like minimum fee release clause, etc? I just think we'll get him providing some other club doesn't make an 11th hour move for him.

I think it's difficult, he's tempted to sign with Bayer because the UCL and because Vidal gave him good information about there. The chances of Leicester consist on making him believe in the club project (he said months ago he'd like to somewhere he could win titles or important clubs). Also, the salary is VERY important. And other important point is the disputes of agents, the investor who owns a part of Aránguiz had already argued a lot with Cury (the man representing Aráguiz and Bayer) during Neymar negotiation and now he is considered persona non grata
