benpicko Posted 24 July 2015 Posted 24 July 2015 Would be decent. People have to remember Leicester is a bigger draw than it used to be. The prem is by far the best league in the world. No more a surprise than Cambiasso if he came here Him choosing to come to us rather than stay with PSG or go to Atlético or Inter would definitely be more of a surprise than Cambiasso choosing to come here as a free agent at the last minute.
chapero82 Posted 24 July 2015 Posted 24 July 2015 We need to stop wasting our time on these kind of transfers and go for somebody more realistic, cambiasso has even chosen Villa over us by the looks of it

I'll be joining in as well.

Spiritwalker Posted 25 July 2015 Posted 25 July 2015 It will be more than 90 mins, I'll be booing the bastard getting off the bus if he turns up with Villa. If he goes to the MLS then obviously he will remain a legend.
Sly Posted 25 July 2015 Posted 25 July 2015 I've tried listening to Talk Sport recently but I can't stick it, it's got to be 85% adverts? It seems that way. They'll start a discussion/sport news story, talk about it for 2 minutes then all of sudden cut to 5 minutes worth of adverts. I actually bloke the adverts out now. I use that time to listen to voicemails etc!!
st albans fox Posted 25 July 2015 Posted 25 July 2015 I actually bloke the adverts out now. I use that time to listen to voicemails etc!! They won't talk about us unless it has a QPR or villa connection. if we could somehow get involved with signing raheem sterling's sister, we would get a whole show! They love to talk about raheem. motta went to PSG when he could have gone elsewhere. he followed the money. I'm not sure he is a cambiasso type replacement from an organisational point. unless he was completely outstanding for us, his remuneration could cause big problems in our dressing room. I just don't see this as viable from both sides perspectives.
Suffolk exile Posted 25 July 2015 Posted 25 July 2015 Is this any more crazy than EC this time last year?? Maybe we can be a little bit excited?? Probably not........
teblin Posted 25 July 2015 Posted 25 July 2015 Foxestalk in over reaction shocker. Just because a paper says we interested doesn't mean we are. If we are, just because we are Asking the question about players like Motta doesn't mean we arent in for more "realistic" targets. Get a grip people raneiri has been in the job less than 2 weeks, transfers take time unless you just go and buy/sign anyone.
st albans fox Posted 25 July 2015 Posted 25 July 2015 Is this any more crazy than EC this time last year?? Maybe we can be a little bit excited?? Probably not........ He is two years younger than EC. Most people in Europe felt EC was washed up and his legs were gone. motto still has something to offer to a CL squad. There were very few takers for EC last summer. There wouldn't be too many that wouldn't take motta. Because of this, he can command a much higher salary than we were able to pay Esteban.
Alexikokopops Posted 25 July 2015 Posted 25 July 2015 No one asked you to look an comment did they By posting it on a public forum you kind of did. Yeah the guardian Thought the move to Atletico was near enough done? Oh well, I guess the Guardian is credible so cannot see why we wouldnt be at least interested. He wont come though, surely It's not really the Guardian though, is it? It's the Guardian's daily round up of rumours from other publications.
MC Prussian Posted 25 July 2015 Posted 25 July 2015 More chance of signing Mutu! I think it's more likely that we sign a still active player as opposed to a retired one.

ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 25 July 2015 Posted 25 July 2015 I think it's more likely that we sign a still active player as opposed to a retired one. That was kinda my point - we have an equal 0% chance of signing either.
MC Prussian Posted 25 July 2015 Posted 25 July 2015 That was kinda my point - we have an equal 0% chance of signing either. Didn't we say the same about Cambiasso? Ranieri's got connections to Ligue 1 clubs from his time at Monaco and Motta's in the last year of his contract with PSG. Technically, we wouldn't have to pay over the odds. The wage part is the more worrying bit.

shade Posted 25 July 2015 Posted 25 July 2015 Surely his connections with monaco would have turned mendys eye.... too lazy to even turn his head? we don't want him.

Less people wanted him and west ham wanted him to have a trial... Can't imagine anyone wanting motta to have a trial...
AjcW Posted 25 July 2015 Posted 25 July 2015 It does make me a laugh a little when people worry so much about transfer costs and wages. We've got very very rich owners who are committed. The prize for staying up this season is astronomical, so I think spending 80k on someone's wages wouldn't trouble them too much when you look at the potential return. Anyway I can't see this happening in a million years but we shall see

Less people wanted him and west ham wanted him to have a trial... Can't imagine anyone wanting motta to have a trial... Motta will be 33 next month. We'll be trying to sell it to him as a "project", just as we did for Cambiasso...hopefully
FoxinNotts Posted 26 July 2015 Posted 26 July 2015 Scored a pen against Chelsea last night in their preseason comp. there's surely no chance he'd come here? He's played at Athletico before, I think. Would be a phenomenal signing....more of a coup than Cambiasso.
