I'm starting to think nobody really wants to work with CR

If he was manager of a bigger team he'd have no problem. We would have struggled to bring in big players with whatever manager we brought in for obvious reasons. If we were shopping in the championship players would be here in a flash.

He can foad if he don't want us hopefully after we smash mid table this season players will be clucking to play for us I was 100% behind Pearson and was optimistic before he went not so much now unless we get a few more players in but even if we don't only time will tell get behind the boys like we did the final 9games of the season and hope for the best

You think they were all desperate to play for Pearson ?

Looks like someone who thinks all the girls will come to him and give them free dosh.

Hence, wouldn't want him here based on this perceived attitude.

When 'bigger' clubs want the same players it is either because they are are good or the clubs are bidding because they want to cut down the competition. Although even with our owners I am not sure they should compete on the wages front. Players are unsure about us ATM. We are relativly new to the PL and struggled for a large part of last season. Once we have a couple of years of finishing 6-10  or higher we will start to look more attractive than Liverpool.

I will not comment  on Raneiri until I see a few results but he has been associated with some top clubsand although I liked Pearson  he has not only being with Championship sides.

I was going to put top 6 or 10. Should have put a ? after the higher or just put top half but feel more optimistic. If Swansea and Sothampton can challenge for top six why not us.

On an aside one or two in the pub I go in were considering putting a bet on City to win the FA cup for a regular who is a City fan. A total of £100 would bring a nice return. 200-500/1?

Well it's a bet that has worked well for the last 130 years or so.

Former Inter Milan midfielder Alessandro Cannataro says he is 'evaluating' offers from a host of Premier League clubs after completing a short trail with Leicester City.

The Foxes remain favourites to sign the 20-year-old, with Cannataro praising the 'nice people and great time' he enjoyed while training with Claudio Ranieri's squad, but Crystal Palace and Watford are rumoured to be ready to strike if talks break down.

Free-agent Cannataro, whose contract with the San Siro club was terminated this summer, told The Independent: "At the moment I’m in London and soon I will be back to Italy to take up all my things and arrange my future transfer.

"I’m talking even with some other teams, since I came to England a lot of teams started to show interest in me, they discovered me.

"They [Leicester] were satisfied from my trial and offered me a contract to play for them. But I still can’t tell anything about my next decision.

"I have been contacted from Qatar, but I refused because I want to play in a top league, two teams in France and one in the MLS also, but I don’t consider this last options.

"I’m thinking about which offer is the best for me, to grow up as a player and to be fulfilled at high levels. This is my project."

Asked whether the Italian connection with Ranieri was behind his trial at Leicester's Belvoir Drive training complex, Cannataro denied the speculation before giving a glowing reference of his prospective manager.

"No, it wasn’t him to call me there. But I spent a great time with him; he is a nice man, a man of football. I don’t know him well personally, so I can’t judge him more than this.

"An Italian agent living in London found me the chance to try with Leicester and I accepted immediately. It has been great [at Leicester], I found a lot of nice people and I have had a great time."

Cannataro says he is now taking some time out with his family before making his final decision, under the guidance of his agent, but admits he has his heart set on the Premier League.

"The way of playing and of training [in England] would be perfect for me. They always give 100%, always concentrated and give their best in every much. This is what suits me best."
