weller54 Posted 13 August 2015 Posted 13 August 2015 And to think, poor old Florist couldn't even afford to take Ben Hamer on loan!!.... Bless!
foxfanazer Posted 13 August 2015 Posted 13 August 2015 People a few pages back saying they didn't want him becasue they though he was going elsewhere
SMX11 Posted 13 August 2015 Posted 13 August 2015 What sort of midfielder is he? I've heard of him but never really watched him play......
foxfanazer Posted 13 August 2015 Posted 13 August 2015 And to think, poor old Florist couldn't even afford to take Ben Hamer on loan!!.... Bless! How the mighty have fallen! In all seriousness it's astonishing just how far in front of them we are in a short time period
Foxymcoxy Posted 13 August 2015 Posted 13 August 2015 I'm very happy about this but I don't think he'll be the revelation Cambiasso was. I also think Kante will prove the better signing. Very nice to have the bald-experienced CM role filled though.
BigMicky Posted 13 August 2015 Posted 13 August 2015 With the Thai royal family behind them they're way richer than the Man City owners. But are they actually onboard? No one knows. Great signing if true. Lose Cambiasso and gain Kante and Inler. Decent when officially announced. Are you sure about their wealth???
johnny the fox Posted 13 August 2015 Posted 13 August 2015 What sort of midfielder is he? I've heard of him but never really watched him play...... a poor mans richie wellens..
MC Prussian Posted 13 August 2015 Posted 13 August 2015 Interesting side aspect: If he should sign for us, would we be the only Premier League club featuring two separate national football team captains? How is his first name pronounced ? In the English-speaking world, Go-khan.
FoxinNotts Posted 13 August 2015 Posted 13 August 2015 How is his first name pronounced ? What Gokhan? ........."Gok", as in Gok and "Han", ...as in Han !
HoustonFox Posted 13 August 2015 Posted 13 August 2015 D'oh no idea how to add animated gifs on mobile site
johnny the fox Posted 13 August 2015 Posted 13 August 2015 What Gokhan? ........."Gok", as in Gok and "Han", ...as in Han ! Gok into kante.... then, think there will be one more big addition to the squad ...wonder whom?
HitchinFox Posted 13 August 2015 Posted 13 August 2015 How is his first name pronounced ? Actually, it's a bit like "Gherkin", but change the "khin" to "khan" - as in the Indian/Pakistani name. So "Gherkan". The "o" is actually an "ö" and is pronounced like the German ö. As in Özil.

mozartfox Posted 13 August 2015 Posted 13 August 2015 Gherkin I am relish-ing the thought of seeing Gherkin play and I am sure he will us get out of many a pickle over the course of the season.

Regarding the owners wealth and assuming that both clubs share the wealth of their associates we don't even come close to Man City. Having said that our owners on their own are indeed very wealthy people with more than enough resources to compete in the Premier League.
