Foxymcoxy Posted 20 October 2015 Posted 20 October 2015 It's that sort of arrogance that will see us knocked out of this competition. Remember it was only a few months a go that Hull were a PL team and rated above us. Yeah but West Ham are a PL team and rated above us and our backups beat them.... They absolutely deserve to play cup games at least. It MAY slightly lessen our chances but not a lot, and it probably helps us stay fresh in the league too. Would be madness from a squad dynamic point of view not to stick with the guys who aren't getting league games.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 20 October 2015 Posted 20 October 2015 Pick up an injury to Huth, say, you want Benny/Was at least having the odd competitive game somewhere along the line so they can slip in and keep at least a little match sharpness. As mentioned our 'reserves' beat a near full strength Hammers no reason they can't do the business against Hull, will keep the spirit in the camp up as well, can always have Mahrez/Vardy on the bench if things go DD to the sky but no reason they should.
Countryfox Posted 20 October 2015 Posted 20 October 2015 He's not our record signing and he didn't cost £10m. It's been repeated a number of times by Geoff Peters on here and the Merc but it was something like £7.3m. The BBC's a credible source, isn't it? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30719419 Possibly the potential £9m fee was initially dependant on how many goals he'd score etc. Thats what I had a glance at when trying to recall the fee .... very confusing sometimes these fees ... however, just to get it right ... "When a just over £7m player can't make the bench I think there is more to it..... Time will tell."
Guest Posted 20 October 2015 Posted 20 October 2015 I saw Kramaric play in pre-season. I thought he looked good, was running around as much as Shinji but had more skill. I think he needs games though

Bamba's Babes Posted 21 October 2015 Posted 21 October 2015 Where are those Croatians who told us we were buying a gem?
Psihobambi Posted 21 October 2015 Posted 21 October 2015 Where are those Croatians who told us we were buying a gem? Still here. You bought a gem. Didn't know how to handle it. Other clubs will. It's not that it has given you any headaches since you're 5th
FoxinNotts Posted 21 October 2015 Posted 21 October 2015 I think he is a gem. Used by Nige up front on his own, most of the time. All Prem squads have strikers which need to be patient. He might not have the patience, and may want a move. He needs a chance in the system we play this season, to see how he fairs. If he'd have scored that chance where he was through on goal agsinst WHU in the cup, things may have been different. Small margins.
FoxinNotts Posted 21 October 2015 Posted 21 October 2015 Okazaki has had a good run. Time to give Kram or Ulloa a start.
Wymsey Posted 21 October 2015 Posted 21 October 2015 He seems the type of player, who if he gets necessary support (particularly psychological) he'll thrive again.
LCFC FOX Posted 21 October 2015 Posted 21 October 2015 He'll get his chance and hopefully he takes it. He's a goal scorer
shade Posted 21 October 2015 Posted 21 October 2015 i'd like to see him get a run of 7 or 8 games playing at least an hour from the start, then i'll criticise him. until then I think we're wasting him in favour of okazaki.

Kramaric has certain qualities, no doubt about it but you have to totally respect the fact that Ranieri sees him day in day out in training. He has evaluated Kramaric over the last three months and yet has concluded that he's barely worth a place on the bench let alone a place in the team. The January transfer window will be interesting regarding Kramaric especially if we bring in another expensive forward player.

Gerard Posted 21 October 2015 Posted 21 October 2015 the same way nigel saw albrighton every day in training, sometimes managers get it wrong. Yes they do and we may look back on this period in ten years time and wonder what Raneri was thinking. However you'd have to be pretty awful for AK to look top class in training and not notice it, I'd rather follow CR's opinion on this than be against it especially as the little evidence we have had this season when AK is on a football pitch validates CR's opinion thus far.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 21 October 2015 Posted 21 October 2015 I'd 'like' to see him play 7 or 8 games in a row but really would anyone? We all know he's low on confidence and will need to perform in those games and can we afford to have Krama come in and IF he is a bit doggo to start with which would be understandable imo just persist while we've got players in form and firing on the bench? Not for me. As I've said feel sorry for him the ability is obviously there just not getting the opportunities but look how well we're playing it's not like it can be helped.
Benguin Posted 21 October 2015 Posted 21 October 2015 Give him some cameos when we're winning and see what he does. If he plays well, give him a shot in place of Okazaki. If he takes it then there we go. If not loan him out to a championship club in jan

I know Cardiff are desperate for strikers
inckley fox Posted 22 October 2015 Posted 22 October 2015 Surely Kramaric comes into the same category as Okazaki; a player who hasn't yet hit the standards we'd expect. The difference is that Okazaki and, say, Inler haven't had as many chances as Kramaric has yet. None of them have seized on these chances yet but, equally, we haven't seen enough of them to be sure that we've gone and bought 'duds'. But for people to be crying out for Kramaric (as opposed to Ulloa or Mahrez), or dismissing him as a no-hoper, seems a bit peculiar.

Yep we just haven't seen enough of him to come to any firm conclusions either way.
SB87_LCFC Posted 22 October 2015 Posted 22 October 2015 Okazaki has had a good run. Time to give Kram or Ulloa a start. Agreed considering this weekend, perhaps Ulloa ahead of Kram based on confidence. Think Ulloa will cause Dann and Delaney more problems physically. Wouldn't be knocking Okazaki's performances, but tactically it may be better for us. Unless CR has the idea of 4-3-3 with Mahrez and Dyer like 2nd half last week and we tear the palace back four a new one ?

If Krama has had more minutes on the pitch than Oka I'd be slightly surprised.
