Agreed, although the papers still mention the ferocity of the atmosphere. We have high standards now. I hope we can make it good vs Palace. A win on Saturday would do a lot to ease our anxieties, and it would seem we can actually make some difference with our backing when we are at our best

When we got going, the atmosphere and noise was awesome, but for large parts it was nowhere near the Porto game, though I suppose that's to be expected with how crap we were on the pitch for large parts last night.

Wasn't great imo. Best bit was "jump up for the champions" in the Kop :D

This. Was my favourite chant of the night. I reckon more people would join in with this  if we sing it long enough! And it looks better better than "stand up"

I was only across the stairwell from the main UFS bit, and the atmosphere was appalling at times, and people moaning so vocally when we were in a Champions League game and not even losing lol people worry me.

The atmosphere was dreadful last night! Quietest it's been in ages. Except for maybe the last 15 minutes.

The Copenhagen fans were immense. Spent most of the first half watching them lol

Wasn't dreadful - people have become over critical with the amazing noise after Porto. It's as good as ground in England even like last night.

Sounded like the kop wasn't a patch on the atmosphere at the porto game but thought L/K/J was actually a bit better than last time out.  Still a lot of people more interested in their accas or moaning than actually supporting the team though.

You obviously weren't at the southampton home game then

I was actually, thought last night was quieter. But then for the CL games I'm not in my ST seat. I'm closer to the away fans. So maybe that's why I thought it was so bad. The Copenhagen fans outsung us for the majority of the game though.

Most seemed happy to do the same. Probably part of the reason why the home ends weren't up to much...

UFS tried to get the Kop going but it wasn't really spreading for some reason. One thing that seems to be obvious is that some songs just don't catch on but UFS continue to try and sing them. Whether you like it or not, the high tempo songs such as 'everywhere we go' spread much more than some of the boring ones such as 'people talk of  Liverpool'. Some don't know the words but UFS seem to continue to sing them which doesn't help such as 'we're on our way,,,' it does seem as though they don't really understand or refuse to acknowledge the dynamics of the kop.

This is isn't an anti UFS post as they have done a great job the past few seasons. Just an annoyance that me and some mates have all picked up on.
