He was a leader in terms of effort, when you have guys like him, Albrighton, Vardy and Kante in the team they drag others along with them. KDH is one of them players, a leader though sheer effort and determination (and no shortage of skill)

Shinji is as a free agent after his contract with Spanish second division side FC Cartagena ended. He's been training with Sint-Truiden in Belgium since August 8th, hoping that they offer him a deal. He's staying with his old mate Shinji Kagawa, who plays for the same club. He joked this week that he was relying on Kagawa both for his meals and a place to kip. 

 

Latest news is that he could sign a contract with them this week, with yet another Japanese player, forward Daichi Hayashi picking up an injury. Sint-Truiden boss is former St Pauli and Hamburger SV player Bernd Hollerbach. He says he has been amazed by Okazaki's attitude in training. 

 

Could be interesting if he signs and has a chance to face OH Leuven. They're both in the top flight.

Would he be up to the Belgian League level? He didn't seem to have that good a season at Cartagena.

The Shinji story goes on. He got his contract with Sint Truiden and made his debut yesterday, playing up front alongside Shinji Kagawa. They won 1-0 against Oostende - their first win of the season.

Shinji's just scored his first goal in the Belgian League:

 

 

So he's now scored in Germany, England, Spain and Belgium.

its not just because they won the league but that crop of players were all genuinely likeable. All hard working and decent humans.  I miss the days we signed players based on personality profiles as well as their skills.  Other than Mahrez, who more than made up for it with ability, I cant think of anyone that wouldnt have been an absolute pleasure to have around the place.

Shinji seems like a distant dream right now. 
 

What a guy. Would love someone like him back in the squad at the moment, the current players just don’t have that same spark with the fans right now.
