Carl the Llama Posted 9 October 2015 Posted 9 October 2015 To be fair Barkley had that one moment where he ran the ball towards the box then forgot he was at a football match. Â In that moment he showed he was the most committed member of the team today.
AKCJ Posted 9 October 2015 Posted 9 October 2015 personally think Cahill or Smalling has been motm. Â Both have played well, don't think any of the midfield or attack has been any good.
Izzy Posted 9 October 2015 Posted 9 October 2015 If Vardy does ever score for England I will spunk my pants. Nice!
cambridgefox Posted 9 October 2015 Posted 9 October 2015 Cameraman knows. He zoomed in on Vards at the whistle.
The Doctor Posted 9 October 2015 Posted 9 October 2015 We don't get hyped up though. Have you not read everybody slating this absolute muck all game? We're about as bad as we've ever been and we're still worlds ahead of you.  Lone bastion of sense who can see through Kane, listen to the commentators and the media and the rent a Patriots though.... you can only beat what is in front of you... we have won every game, no hopes are building we still have a lot to prove come the euros, but I see improvement... In the past games like this we would make hard work of, but now we are just winning them easily. Better beating these sides, then just losing or drawing like Scotland  Do you? I've not seen any improvement from England, just regression since Sven left. Also, if that wasn't hard work then I'd like to see what is. We are poverty yet still better than you. England aren't poverty, that's the thing, they should be comfortable quarters every tournament, yet they aren't.
trabuch Posted 9 October 2015 Posted 9 October 2015 Danny Mills on radio 5 thinks Vardy not good enough for England. Well he should know the mucking nomark. And didn't say who was..

The match wasn't hard work it was comfortable throughout... you obviously just struggle to see anything positive from England and can't back up your rubbish, enjoy watching at home next summer whilst all the other much better home nations are playing.

suffolk fox Posted 9 October 2015 Posted 9 October 2015 Manwell pablo you talk shite mate! Vardy did more in five minutes than Kane did in 90 minutes. Call yourself an LcFc supporter you should be ashamed. Kane was woeful Sterling not much better. Thank god for Walcott, good player. England were generally very poor mate. Vardy deserves to start against Lithuania.

Guest Posted 9 October 2015 Posted 9 October 2015 Pablo may disagree but with my blue tinted glasses I think that Vardy was MOTM. Had more assists than Kane anyway.
dmayne7 Posted 9 October 2015 Posted 9 October 2015 It's a fair point really about playing to strengths. I don't think England have ever really done that with Rooney. He's had a very good career, no doubt about it, but he could've been even better for me. Could well have gone down as a Zidane or a Del Piero of the game whereas now he'll go down as someone like a Crespo or a Torres. Â Ignoring the sense you actually made, did you seriously compare Del Piero to Zidane?!Â
Guest Col city fan Posted 9 October 2015 Posted 9 October 2015 Pablo has had a mare! I'm struggling to think of a worse performance from an England striker as Kane's tonight? He looked like he did in a City shirt.
AKCJ Posted 9 October 2015 Posted 9 October 2015 Ignoring the sense you actually made, did you seriously compare Del Piero to Zidane?!  He didn't, no.
EnglishOxide Posted 9 October 2015 Posted 9 October 2015 If Sterling and Walcott had the aggression of Vardy they would be Ribery/Robben quality. Neither of them would have ran onto that Kane flick on with the urgency he did.
Vacamion Posted 9 October 2015 Posted 9 October 2015 Winning against poverty teams, getting all hyped up then flopping straight away, it's hilarious. Oh plaggy Caledonian Fox Just get back in your tartan box Salty tears come from your glands Your striker plays for Sunderland
Guest Col city fan Posted 9 October 2015 Posted 9 October 2015 He didn't, no. To be fair you've made me giggle a few times tonight buddy..

Apart from the very poor part, we won it was comfortable and they just came to stick 10 behind the ball never was going to be exciting. Decent performance and professional, no injuries and maintain our 100% record

Izzy Posted 9 October 2015 Posted 9 October 2015 Ross Barkley: 'I'm over the moon with my performance'. Another w@nk word on my football cliche bingo sheet. He makes Wayne Rooney sound intelligent
The Doctor Posted 9 October 2015 Posted 9 October 2015 Aren't you a fake Scot who chooses to follow a team that couldn't beat Georgia?  Follow is a strong word - in 2011 yeah, I don't really watch international football unless there's a leicester player involved these days.  The match wasn't hard work it was comfortable throughout... you obviously just struggle to see anything positive from England and can't back up your rubbish, enjoy watching at home next summer whilst all the other much better home nations are playing.  So comfortable they only managed five chances all match, two of which were kane blocking his own volleys. England were lethargic and lucky that they were playing against a side even more impotent going forward.
