VLC86 Posted 10 October 2015 Posted 10 October 2015 Wembley is crap The stadium itself is incredible but when you charge a minimum of £45 for a ticket for a product of lower quality than the premier league you end up with a stadium full of tourists/day trippers who are too busy eating popcorn. I even saw someone turn up to the match on 40 minutes . Was lucky enough to go to Ukraine for the Euros and as with club football, away matches have better atmospheres.
Guest Col city fan Posted 10 October 2015 Posted 10 October 2015 Can one of the world class coaches on here explain to me how you're supposed to play against 10 men sat on the edge of their box? Also, didn't think Kane actually had a bad game. Generally the ball stuck to him when it was hit long, just did a target man's job. What game were you watching? Did you not see Kane, especially in the 2nd half, giving the ball away time and time again? He was slow, should have scored at least one and looked nothing of the player he looked last season. I thought he was gash. Vardy did more in ten minutes than Kane did for 80 ish.

So they didn't miss anything then.
foxfanazer Posted 10 October 2015 Posted 10 October 2015 So they didn't miss anything then. Was it Harry Kane?
VLC86 Posted 10 October 2015 Posted 10 October 2015 So they didn't miss anything then. Wow, you have been busy.
Guest Posted 10 October 2015 Posted 10 October 2015 Wow, you have been busy. Unlike the England football team.
Kinowe Soorie Posted 10 October 2015 Posted 10 October 2015 Kane performed last night like he did when he played for us... shite! Great season 14/15 but was it a one off? Reminds me of Clive Allen
yorkie1999 Posted 10 October 2015 Posted 10 October 2015 Really hope that Vardy doesn't play monday night. We need him fit and strong for us and don't need him risking injury in freezing cold pointless match.
foxfanazer Posted 10 October 2015 Posted 10 October 2015 Maybe Roy actually fancies Vardy as another wide option. He could sneak into the Euro squad for his versatility
st albans fox Posted 10 October 2015 Posted 10 October 2015 He doesn't look happy wide in the 4-3-3 as he drops much deeper than when he's with us. Unless the keeper is hoofing forward, I'm not sure how JV is going to impress. England are so deliberate in moving the ball around. I guess they will be last to the party in realising that the game is changing from a possession led one to a chances led one.

Everyone gets a 7 except Barkley 8 and Sterling 7.5 seemingly an extra half mark for the goal laid on a plate for him by Vardy, who gets a 6!!' The comments for Walcott are utter tripe, cut inside too often and too quick? You're right we should have left Kane up front on his own doing fvck all, while Walcott and Sterling hugged the touch line, raining in shit crosses to Harry's big potato head. To be fair, his comments on Vardy are very good, and very positive. On the other hand, his comments about Kane are nonsense (other than saying Kane missed a great opportunity) because his touch was useless and his control was non-existent. Carping on about what Kane did last season is boll0x: it's what he's done this season that counts - and he's done fvck-all.

I think with players like Barkley and Bertrand playing good balls out of midfield (like Drinkwater and King, for example) Vardy will be fine.

He looked good and played a pivotal role in the second goal. He looked sharp and is hungry for selection and playing time. I think he's got a good future, even if it has come late. Edit.....just read the comments immediatly before this ... nothing like make a post thats repeating whats already been said ....
LanguedocFox Posted 10 October 2015 Posted 10 October 2015 I just saw this: http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/611143/England-2-Estonia-0-Roy-Hodgson-easy-win-Theo-Walcott?_ga=1.104297538.333601993.1444474780. The last two paragraphs read: "Vardy replaced Walcott and got some unexpected mileage out of a brief cameo, setting up a neat cross for Sterling to convert for England’s second. Once again, the Manchester City player had underlined how valuable his pace is as opposition legs begin tire." Do they know something we don't? On the other hand, you really do get sick of dumb football writers.

filbertway Posted 10 October 2015 Posted 10 October 2015 To be fair to Sterling to show that burst of pace was impressive at 85 minutes into the game.

Quite clearly referring to Sterling Its annoying as because Sterling got on the scoresheet nobody is mentioning the fact he had a poor game and is another player who is over rated.
Guest Posted 10 October 2015 Posted 10 October 2015 To be fair to Sterling to show that burst of pace was impressive at 85 minutes into the game. to be fair he hadn't done much in the first 85 mins so probably had the energy.
filbertway Posted 10 October 2015 Posted 10 October 2015 to be fair he hadn't done much in the first 85 mins so probably had the energy. I was expecting that response, well played.
foxes21 Posted 10 October 2015 Posted 10 October 2015 It looked like we were playing walking football. There was no urgency at all. We will never win anything with this style of play, we aren't spain. Get Pearson in after the euros please
BoyJones Posted 10 October 2015 Posted 10 October 2015 Kane is so last season. Vardy is playing more effectively. End of.

Yeah, my bad. But as you say, Sterling had a poor game, and did fvck all until Vardy laid the goal on for him.

ForzaFerrari Posted 10 October 2015 Posted 10 October 2015 If Vardy keeps the performance like these days in this season, I bet he will go to France next summer.
whetstonefox Posted 10 October 2015 Posted 10 October 2015 What's good about this is I can't see Vardy moving if a team put a bid in January. Huge prize for the lad to get to play in a major tournament next year ,he won't want any 'interference' he's first choice for us so pretty much guaranteed to play every week. Although I don't think he will start for England next year I think he will be Roy's go to player to add energy and commitment if England are struggling in a game.
