I think this is poor reporting.  We were definately after him late last year, but i was told his contract was expiring - therefore a typical player Pearson/Leicester would have been after to get value for money.  At £5 million no chance, although he has looked good in some games

oh right, sure I read somewhere he had a release clause, maybe someone else.

I think the reports were that a release clause was added in his new contract, which would have been after the bid in feb..

Guessing that would be above the 5mill tho....

Ok, fair enough Ince played very well but Gray was good. Certainly not 'doggo' whatever that means.

 

We could seriously do with a winger to compete with Mahrez and Albrighton - Gray fits the bill perfectly

He was very poor and routinely gave the ball away.

 

I don't think he's good enough to compete for the current winger spots but he's certainly worth the supposed 5m buy-out clause. He's clearly got loads of potential and if we signed him i'd like us to send him back out on loan to continue his development.

He didn't want to leave until he kept on being left out. Then the offer he got to stay was poor

Answered your own question/statement really, ask yourself why he was left out. And don't say 'Pearsons arrogance'. It was because he wasn't good enough on a consistent basis. Was for the best all round that he left when he did
