Gone for the 7-9 vote.

Of the three home games weve had so far, id have said certainly one, and probably two would be wins.

The trips on the road looked tough though. West Ham looked like a nil pointer for me, although i could see points at Bournemouth.

I didnt expect 7 home points though. Id have been happy enough with 5 points, 6 would have been fantastic, 7 is a great return considering we had problems vs all of those teams at some point last season.

I never really looked at it, obviously I looked at the fixture but I didn't think how many points we'd be on, given the summer we had (Which in hindsight so far, now looks like quite a good one) probably somewhere between 3 and 6 points, I did not expect such a good start that's for sure.

8. Pretty much all the same results (but the wins being more tight than irl) bar West Ham being a defeat.

Admittedly I was quite fearful of this season. Like most I had absolutely no idea what to expect and I wasn't sure what kind of impact the new players and manager would make, if any.

Sunderland and Villa - one win and one draw

Spurs and West Ham - two defeats

Bournemouth - one point

5 points and a real scrap ahead.

Delighted to be proven completely wrong :)

i think bar west ham (and the manner of our wins) most of it has been quite predictable. sunderland and villa were always going to be dog shit, bournemouth i probs expected a win tbf and spurs struggled 3 times against us last season when we were really crap.

I take 1 game at a time but if I'd have predicted before I would have said 10.

3 from Blunderland

1 from West Ham

0 from Tottenham

3 from Bmouth

3 from Villa

To be honest I did think, assuming CR wasn't a complete disaster, that we'd get a good start, they weren't exactly the most imposing fixtures of the season, Sunderland really had to be three points I thought we could beat Bournemouth and Villa as well so we aren't a million miles away from where I thought we'd be.

We will probably do Stoke as well as they aren't in great form. After that shit starts to get a bit real. Narch and Saints away and Arsenal Palace at home, those results will give us a better indication of how far we've come.

Simular scenario to Pablo above.I believed/hoped we had a great chance to get off to a good start, that would hold us in credit, for the long season ahead.

Now we can go further than last season, in comparisons we have taken more points from the same fixtures last season, plus we have more experience, top summer buys, and found character, style, and an ethic we want to play with.

At the end of last season, I would of been happy for this season to end, on no relegation battle, and + 3pts again top 14 hoping for top 12.

Now I have taken another view, be a fan , dream big, forget being reasonable...Why not aim top 6, looking for top 8.

Its the changes after injuries will determin our campagne. The squad is better, if we lose a couple of pace players at one time, plus a CB due to injuries, will we have a plan B. Hope is eternal....

Its an old adage, but boringly true, our teams reactions after a couple of losses, we will then see/understand our end potential.

Didn't we have a poll asking how many points we'd get from the first x matches?  Cba to look for it but it will give a better idea than a 20/20 hindsight poll.
