Sampson Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Schmeichel - All over the place, especially for their 3rd - 3 De Laet - At least showed some kind of endeavour - 5 Huth - Played well generally - 7 Morgan - Difficult but not exactly helped by errant full-backs - 6 Schlupp - How is he keeping Fuchs out the team? He's pace and nothing else. Just kept running into trouble - 2 Albrighton - Always looking to get crosses I'm. Bringing him off at the same time you bring your target man on was nonsense - 7 Kante - Great endeavour - 7 Drinkwater- Wasted in the more defensive role he was given today - 5 Mahrez - Just not at the races - 3 Okazaki - Looked energetic - 6 Vardy - Well taken goals and made the most of what he was given - 8 King - So poor. I like him but he was completely the wrong player to bring on for the situation. Kept breaking up potential counter-attacks by slowing the game down and passing to the side giving Arsenal a chance to get back - 2 Ulloa - Bringing him on was a good idea, but wasted without Albrighton - 5 Kramaric - N/A

He was excellent again today. Our best player again.
dmayne7 Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 5!? He was excellent again today. Our best player again. Yeah better than the guy who scored 2 and hit the woodwork twice. 5 was a harsh rating on Drinky though. Thought he played fairly well today. Also blaming Kasper for weak defending is wrong.

He didn't influence much and wasn't great but that is beyond harsh no matter what constitutes a 2 in your eyes.
Focks Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Oh and giving King a 2 is ridiculous. He didn't influence much and wasn't great but that is beyond harsh no matter what constitutes a 2 in your eyes. He must have thought he was 'dismal' rather than 'very poor' or 'poor'
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Dinky and Vardy the only players to have had a decent game really.
Claridge Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Dinky and Vardy the only players to have had a decent game really. Kante was excellent first half
foxinsox Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Hard to give the back 4 and Kasper much when they ship 5 goals but Huth was better today and Kasper did some great saves. Time to either have 3 Centre Backs or at the very least Fuchs as Left back. Centrebacks far too slow to play the offside trap against a team like Arsenal. Mahrez had a poor game and lost possession too easily. Poor defending and up against Sanchez so no surprise that he scored. Heavily marked and lost possession too easily. Kante was effective at winning the ball but less good at keeping it. Worked hard. DD also did well but overrun by a classy Arsenal. Albrighton struggled and would be better on the right, he kept having to cut inside to use his right foot for a cross. Okazaki had some moments of class (much better than in the Villa game, but was jetlagged that time) doesn't seem to have gelled with Vardy. Vardy showed reall class and pace our MOTM, but frankly not much competition for that crown. Subs: I love Kingy but this was the wrong game for him. It needed Ulloa for Okazaki to get on Albrightons crosses. Both Ulloa and Kramaric did reasonably well when on. Raineri: time to do some tinkering. Justifiable to keep a winning team, but not a defence that ships 5 goals. Out thought tactically too. Arsenal: A bit dirty at times but mostly pure class, great one touch football and movement off the ball. I do not think a single player of ours would make their team, sadly.
kingfox Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Schmeichel 5 - Made mistakes but then again he saved it from being about 10-2. De Laet 5 - All over the place towards the end of the game, starting to feel sorry for him though as he gets no support. Huth 6 - Looked strong in the air, slow to react when ball was on the floor, left exposed though. Morgan 6 - See Huth Schlupp 3 - Bad in both halves of the pitch, was about dead by the end of the game. Mahrez 3 - Gave the ball away, far too greedy, as usual poor defensively. Kante 6 - Good first half, too many misplaced passes though. Drinkwater 8 - Have to say he is getting back to his best, looked forward & played some nice passes. Albrighton 5 - Crosses were too near the keeper, slows us down as well in my opinion. Okazaki 6 - Worked hard, linked well with Vardy, some decisions against him were shocking. Vardy 8 - Worked hard, two good finishes. King 5 - Pretty non existent, couldn't get in the game. Ulloa 6 - Offered something different, didn't get the ball to him much though. Kramaric - N/A
jmono84 Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 CR - 5 KS - 5 RDL - 6 RH - 6 WM - 5 JS - 5 MA - 6 DD - 7 NK - 6 RM - 5 SO - 4 JV - 8 AK - 4 LU - 5 AKr - 5 Arsenal - 7 Ref - 2
TOMBlcfc Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Drinky and Vards deffo our best players today. Schlupp and Mahrez were poor. Main thing that confused me was that Fuchs wasn't even on the bench. I would have liked to have brought him on at half time for Okazaki instead of King. Pushing Schlupp up and having Mahrez behind Vards. Also feel like Albrighton is wasted at LM, looks far better on the right
sdb Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Superstition of mine never to do these but seeing as we've actually lost a game, why not... KS - 5 good kicking, could've surely done better with a couple of theirs? RDL - 6 token gesture brain fart or two but actually very good mostly, with little support WM - 5 Huth - 5 Centre backs struggled with Walcott running in behind, unsurprisingly JS - 5 exciting going forward, tired later on RM - 5 not his day but made a few things happen DD - 7 looking accomplished N'GK - 6 busy body but given too much to do MA - 6 SO - 5 Pawson not a fan obviously JV - 8 best player on the park, Sanchez aside AK - 4 wasn't happening for him today LU - 6 nice touches AK - 5 should've scored but tends to make things happen
Dickov22 Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Kasper 5 Need to see the goals again but thought he couldve done better with one if not two of them De Laet 6 Thought he did ok. Caught out a couple of times but good clearance off the line and we needed his pace Morgan 5 Torn apart Huth 5 As above but also soo slow Schlupp 4 Goes to sleep far too often, doesn't close his man down early or close enough. Awful day for him Drinkwater 7 Really good game and sublime pass for Vardy's first Kante 6 Gives the ball away far far too much. Great in the tackle. Lost second half when Ranieri messed up our shape Albrighton 6 Some hopeful lumps up field but also some excellent crosses Mahrez 5 Too much expectation on him. Crowded out by Arsenal but kept going Okasaki 6 Better than of late but too lightweight Vardy 8 MOTM. Fantastically taken goals. He's our main man Ulloa 5 Not given chance to play well by our manager- why bring off Albrighton when you bring Ulloa on?! Nonsensical King 5 Anonymous Kramaric 5 Bad miss
eastendfox Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Right, giving everybody a 5 except for Vardy and Drinkwater who get an 8. They really were head and shoulders above the rest of our side. To be honest at times our defence looked powerless and hard to give any of them more than 5. Kante also looked exposed against a side better than any he will have previously faced. Mahrez was poor. But every time Drinkwater got the ball he used it well, at times pinging 60 yard passes to Leicester players, or shorter when better. And Vardy's finishing was sensational. We weren't dreadful though, and always looked dangerous - but Arsenal were excellent.
Rincewind Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 My score prediction was a little off. 1-1 I said. From the radio it seemed they were doing ok first half and were still in the game at 2-1 but after the third the class showed. The defence was overun. Some good performances it seemed Vardy, Drinkwater Kante. That is just my impression from the radio. Should be a better result next week.
weller54 Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Dinky and Vardy the only players to have had a decent game really. Yer, Dinky Toyed with them!
Kinowe Soorie Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Defence all 1's. Vardy 8. When all of the goals conceded were scored by the oppositions strikers then they were clearly shite. Schlupp today didn't look like a professional footballer at all!
NewquayFox Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Arsenal were excellent today, Schlupp was awful and deserves to be dropped after that performance with Fuchs coming in. Mahrez was away with the fairies today, hope he gets himself sorted out for Norwich. Vardy, Drinky & Huth came out of the game with credit today but Ranieris substitutions were terrible today. Up the City...
Dan Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Schmeichel - Not impressed with him today. A lot of the goals conceded were at the other end but he looked really dodgy from where I was today. Unlucky to not have an assist though strangely. 4 De Laet - Don't think he played well but nor do I think he was the weak link today. The whole defence were dire. 4 Huth - Defensively we were awful and like the others, some responsibility is placed here. 4 Morgan - See Huth. 4 Schlupp - Woeful. He isn't a Premier League left back and no-one will convince me otherwise. Get him on the left wing, or at wing back with the cover of three centre halves. At left back he just hasn't got it. 2 Mahrez - Worst game in a long time. Nothing he tried came off and nor did he offer anything to us defensively. Not good. 3 Drinkwater - He looked absolutely top class at times today. Very impressed with him. 8 Kante - Not quite as involved as the other games but still had a good one. 7 Albrighton - Bit of a passenger for me although we missed his delivery when he went off. 5 Okazaki - Falling out of love with him sadly. He's been a complete passenger since the half time whistle at West Ham. There's a good player in there but for some reason it isn't being shown. 4 Vardy - He really is starting to look a quality forward at this level. Already beaten last season's goals tally with two good finishes today, although could've had more if you were being picky. 8 King - Thought he wasn't bad but didn't really offer us what he did the other night. 5 Ulloa & Kramaric - N/A Arsenal - Most impressed I've been with an opposition that I can remember. They'd have beaten nearly anyone in the league today. They played like title contenders. They were intelligent with what they did and eventually picked us off with real style. Fantastic effort from them. 9 Officials - Utterly woeful yet again. Such blatant bias to Arsenal. How on earth did we not have a penalty in the first half? That looked a stone waller to me. 2 Ranieri - Got the line-up wrong for me. I respect that he had faith in the team that had gotten us points beforehand but we were a serious soft touch today. I'd never want us to abandon our style that's served us so well but we shouldn't have been that open against a team renowned for how good they can be when given space. Hopefully a lesson learned, but he doesn't score highly today unfortunately. 3
westernpark Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Drinkwater was our best player -9 Vardy -8 The way drinkwater shields the ball is incredible
Corky Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Schmeichel- 4 De Laet- 3 Huth- 5 Morgan- 5 Schlupp- 3 Mahrez- 3 Drinkwater- 8 Kante- 7 Albrighton- 6 Vardy- 8 Okazaki- 4 Subs- All 5 Arsenal- 9 Ref (and linesman towards the Kop end)- 2
Sampson Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Yeah better than the guy who scored 2 and hit the woodwork twice. 5 was a harsh rating on Drinky though. Thought he played fairly well today. Also blaming Kasper for weak defending is wrong. Watch the 3rd goal. Kasper comes flying out to meet it and misses if completely. Blaming the defence for that Kasper's mess up is just as wrong. Oh and giving King a 2 is ridiculous. He didn't influence much and wasn't great but that is beyond harsh no matter what constitutes a 2 in your eyes. I think King was absolutely worth that in the context of the game. It's not that he kept giving the ball away or anything, but there were 5 or 6 occasions when he was on the ball on the counter with Arsenal players scarpering back and instead of running forward or playing a through ball as he should've done, he dwelled on the ball and then just played it out wide and gave Arsenal defenders a chance to get back. He completely broke up the impetus of several counter-attacks. I like King, but he was completely the wrong player to be playing when you're 2-1 down to Arsenal and trying to counter attack against a pacey side.
Bryn Posted 27 September 2015 Posted 27 September 2015 Was at the game, haven't seen the highlights yet. Kasper 5 - Interested to see the highlights, suspect he was at fault for at least two goals. De Laet 4 - Not his worst game and offered little protection but everything he did lacked quality. Not good enough. Huth 5 - Defended as well as he could with little protection. Morgan 5 - See Huth. Schlupp 4 - Was completely spent by the end but a bad day at the office for Jeff, I really think Fuchs need looking at. Push Schlupp forward perhaps. Mahrez 4 - Never really came off for Riyad today, marked robustly. Still made space for others. Kante 6 - Brilliant first half, at fault for one of their second half goals but lots of promise. Think Wenger will have taken note. Drinkwater 6 - Another one who was absolutely exhausted by the end, overall a decent game from the continually improving Drinkwater. Albrighton 5 - Actually thought the game largely passed him by, think he struggles with the breakneck pace we play at. Think Dyer locks that spot down when he's fit personally. Okazaki 6 - Busy but never looked like an attacking threat. Vardy 8 - Quality performance, looked sharp and his finishing is much improved. Subs all get 6, Ranieri gets a 4 as his tactics were never likely to be fruitful. Ref wasn't as bad as some are making out, we've had far worse. Arsenal were excellent. Great game, onwards and upwards.
Guest MattP Posted 27 September 2015 Posted 27 September 2015 Kasper 4 - Bit of a nightmare really, didn't cover himself in glory at all. RDL 6 - Probably the best of a shocking back four, did get forward well but defending at times is awful. Huth 6 - Ran ragged at times. Morgan 5 - As above, lack of pace really shown up Schulpp 3 - Horrific, out of position time and time again, not convinced he understands the offside goal, unforgivable to jog back and play Sanchez on for the third. Drinkwater 6 - Did ok against a very strong centre midfield, well worth his spot. Kante 5 - Did some good start near the start but was outclassed as the match went on, gave the ball away far too much. Albrighton 5 - Keen to get forward but delivery and defensive work wasn't always on form, if he plays Ulloa should as well. Mahrez 3 - Was woeful today, seemed scared to take a shot. Okazaki 5 - Was creating space for Vardy but couldn't do much. Vardy 8 - Two cracking finishes and ran the opposition ragged at times, tremendous. First game Ranieri got his tactics totally wrong, very strange decision to leave Vardy isolated second half given how much we created in the first half. Sure we'll see Fuchs and Benaloune next game.
