Costock_Fox Posted 16 November 2015 Share Posted 16 November 2015 Not sure we will get anyone in need to keep vardy and marhez first The fact that you mention we should keep 2 players could suggest we may be a little over reliant on this pair at times in the goal scoring department. What happens when/if they get injured/suspended, we need another goal scorer.
dannythefox Posted 16 November 2015 Share Posted 16 November 2015 Welbeck is to injury prone.

LCFCABC Posted 16 November 2015 Share Posted 16 November 2015 I'd like to see us go for some like Edin Dzeko - Would be a real statement of intent if we got him. He's on loan at Roma so would be the summer before we'd be able to get him
Gerard Posted 16 November 2015 Share Posted 16 November 2015 Are you saying Welbeck has failed? I thought you just said he'd be first choice for Arsenal when fit? I said when he's been fit he's first choice under Wenger from what we've seen of his Arsenal career. He'd be considered failed if he moved to Leicester at 25. No one moves from Arsenal's first team to Leicester do they?

My Nads Posted 16 November 2015 Share Posted 16 November 2015 Victor Valdes would be a good fit for us, we need someone to give Kasper some competition. He wouldn't cost much if anything and I'm imagine he is desperate to leave Man U the way he's being treated there. We must be a pretty desirable club these days, our league position, the way we play and our team spirit. It just shows how things have changed in the past 2 or 3 year, that this isn't a ridiculous idea!

My Nads Posted 16 November 2015 Share Posted 16 November 2015 Not sure we can afford to be sentimental if we're going to keep the side progressing. If we have a chance to buy a player that will improve any position, then we should. That's really the defenders and GK. I think it would be a bit pricey to improve anywhere else, but hopefully we buy Dyer even of he costs a bit. He's a good player and a good fit, so there's hardly any risk involved. He would improve if he had good competition or be replaced by a better keeper, so it's a win win for us. Apart from RB, the keeper is possibly our weakest position now. Bamba's Babes Posted 16 November 2015 Share Posted 16 November 2015 Option 1: We're in the best position in our history to progress and push forward. Now is the time to capitalise on our position and standing to capture players that will take us to the next level. We might never be better placed. Option 2: What's got us in this position is team spirit, hardwork and the current crop of players. Stick with these players and believe they are capable of not only continuing this form but stepping it up a gear in the future. This is the question fellas. Jazzy_Jeff Posted 16 November 2015 Share Posted 16 November 2015 Option 3. There are plenty of talented hard working players who will fit into our ethos and improve the quality of our squad. I trust our scouting network to find them and our owners to dig deep for them.
filbertstreet Posted 16 November 2015 Share Posted 16 November 2015 Option 4. Sell all our top players for really cheap and buy a load of expensive flops

v6rat Posted 16 November 2015 Share Posted 16 November 2015 If Vardy was to be sold in January, it would have to be like Andy Carroll a few years ago, English striker £35m +
les-tah Posted 16 November 2015 Share Posted 16 November 2015 Honest "what if" question. If the owners we pissed up and decided to sign Messi in January and we were say 5th in the league by Dec 31st and were happy to pay his minimum fee release clause and 500k a week wages the question is where would we finish?? lol
les-tah Posted 16 November 2015 Share Posted 16 November 2015 My honest January perfect business would be a world rated number 10 to fit in the hole after midfield before vardy and a world rated right back!
