Callabinho Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 Vidic has just left Inter. I'd take him in a heartbeat. Experience of winning the league.
Richmondfox Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 Vidic has just left Inter. I'd take him in a heartbeat. Experience of winning the league. He had his contract cancelled at Inter, he would be a waste of wages and a squad place. I don't think he could offer us anything we don't already have, slower than what we have and hasn't played once all season. 34 so he will be off for to the MLS for a payday. Once Amartey signs we should have enough CB cover.
dannythefox Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 I've said it before I really want Shane long he would fit in straight away, got lots of energy and a eye for goal and can play the same way vardy does!
thybluefox Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 I've said it before I really want Shane long he would fit in straight away, got lots of energy and a eye for goal and can play the same way vardy does! Could be a goer given they've just got Austin. Would he be enough to keep us top 4 though?
CharlieCharles Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 Ziyech - mentioned him a month back. Has scored 4 goals, 1 assist in the past 4 games. 11 goals, 5 assists this season. 22 years old.
Guest Col city fan Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 Emmanuel Adebayor I'm not sure if he's been mentioned but of course he's available on a free Can't people please stop suggesting we sign expensive rubbish. Adebayor is well past his best! That's why he's not playing........ kinda tells ya? We are top of the Premiership. If we sign someone, sign quality! Not Adebayor, not Shane bloody Long etc etc etc.
AKCJ Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 Shane Long would be a very smart signing for us in my opinion. Jamie Vardy in disguise, but a bit worse. Would allow us to rotate better.
Dan Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 Vidic is past it. I don't see the point. We don't need a centre half especially if we're signing Amartey. Feghouli would be ridiculous but I'd imagine our only hope is if we made the CL groups.
Guest Col city fan Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 Shane Long would be a very smart signing for us in my opinion. Jamie Vardy in disguise, but a bit worse. Would allow us to rotate better. If Shane Long was any good (as in week in week out) he'd be first choice striker at his parent club. He isn't. And that's for a team well below us in the division. If he's not good enough for them, why would he be for us. He IS quick..without doubt. But he's inconsistent. Why are we wanting players that other clubs want to offload? We are better than that. If we go for a striker, push the boat out, pay the money and sign Slimani. THAT would be an improvement on what we have now.

Clever Fox Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 Shane Long would be a good capture. He's as quick as Vardy, a better header of the ball and has an excellent first touch. he scores some great goals when you don't expect him to score. the Goal he scored for Ireland against Germany was one of the best goals I've ever seen. 40 + yards against one of the worlds best keepers in Neyur. Think about it he's 3 times the player Ulloa is for about the same cost. Even if it was just as a squad player.
foxes21 Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 Shane long is 29, same as Vardy. I think we need a younger player who can learn off Vards tbh.
st albans fox Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 Rumoured that pelle is leaving - long will be staying. Sam byram going to WHU
dbtcity Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 Anyone having trouble with twitter Yup no Twitter transfer rumours today
MC Prussian Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 Anyone having trouble with twitter Nope, just you then.
LegendOfJoe Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 Sunderland have been quoted £14Million for Andre Ayew. Definitely think he's worth a punt for that money. Especially with todays market i.e. Naismith at around £9 million for Norwich
dannythefox Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 Could be a goer given they've just got Austin. Would he be enough to keep us top 4 though? we'd have a lot better chance with him than nobody, he's good enough to score 10goals before the end of the season. Vardy and Mahrez will get a few more also.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 I know it's highly unlikely the deal would ever happen and there's no links to him at all but I've always rated Edin Dzeko. Anyone of his calibre would be superb here.
My Nads Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 Chicharito has only just joined Leverkusen last summer and will hardly want to move away after only one season. He loves it there, blends in nicely and is one of the "superstars" of the league, if you want to call it that way. His pedigree (both on a national and international level) and his goalscoring prowess have made him a fans' favourite. It's very likely he will be playing in the PL again next season. I know he's playing well, he always does, but he has already said he wants to play in the PL again. The PL is more exciting and has a lot of money and money talks. BL got him for about £7m if I remember right, so if we tabled a decent enough offer, I'm pretty sure it would be excepted.
TYNMAN Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 Hoping for a quality forward to come in, we do that and we're set for the top 4. Hernandez Carrilllo slimiani all could do the job
Fuch Me Moore Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 Can't see Hernandez wanting to come here (sorry, my opinion!) I would personally love to see him play for Leicester, I've always admired his work rate and he clearly has an eye for goal. I hope I'm wrong and we could sign him!
AKCJ Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 When people say Hernandez who do they mean? The Hull forward who flopped in the Prem or the Mexican forward who is clearly a million miles out of our league?
Fuch Me Moore Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 When people say Hernandez who do they mean? The Hull forward who flopped in the Prem or the Mexican forward who is clearly a million miles out of our league? I meant javier Hernandez, not the hull flop!!!
