FA Cup 2015/16

One very small change that would improve the FA cup slightly is stopping stupid stuff like having the draw before all games have been contested. Fine you might have two teams in the hat due to a replay, but the fact Shrewsbury and Man Utd are both there because they haven't even faced each other yet is a bit shit.

Hollow victory really for Chelsea

Most of their better players have been at the club years, many dating back pre Pellegrini and EVEN pre Mancini, thats the scary thing

Pellegrini has brought in a fair chunk of shite to be fair. Demichelis and Caballero most notably are nowhere near good enough for what they should be challenging for.

And another thing, chucking a load of kids into a team in a game and competition you blatantly dont give a shit about is not "giving them an opportunity"

Blending them in with senior players gradually and in a proper game is giving an opportunity.

Agreed. Giving them an opportunity is starting Barker at Kiev.

And it's Watford going to the Emirates.

Mark Chapman obviously doesn't think Hull have a chance of beating Arsenal.

Ha.Can't wait from the outrage from Hull.

Once again I'm looking at things a bit miffed on our behalf. That handball decision that went against us has cost us a run of Colchester away, Palace at home and Reading away to the semi finals. We could've been there.

lol a mid table premier league team reaching the semis of the FA cup is hardly a disgrace.

I don't know how Spurs didn't win. Alli hit the post, ball ran across the line and hit the other post. But when it's your day!

Typical - the 2 teams we never beat!

Arsenal would be tough enough naturally but Hull aren't exactly a shabby side on their own patch either.

Oh well - saves on the £50/60 to lose at Wembley again..

Whenever I see you post your always moaning about something. Calm down lad

I blame Leicester for raising my expectations in life to be a lot higher than they should be.

Why do FA Cup matches tend to involve crowd disturbances? it seems like a pattern to me. I dont think its coincidence.

Look at this years FA Cup, theres been an instance of racism at the Carlisle v Everton game, missile throwing at both Reading and Chelsea, and im pretty sure there have been incidents with flares as well.

Ive seen in the past, there was an incident with missiles at Newport, there has been pitch invasions of a nasty kind like the one between Cardiff and Leeds, I remember an Oldham player being racially abused at Liverpool, and i also remember missile throwing incidents at other grounds.

Then of course, there was the infamous crowd fighting at wembley during Millwall v Wigan.

However, these incidents do not seem to happen during league games.

Is this because its different fans attending the games? Am i making something of nothing?

Seems to me definitely its an excuse for people to act like idiots though.

I do hope Watford go on a cup run - just beat Hull or Arsenal in the next round and a lot of things will be forgiven.

I'd love to see Everton or West Ham lifting the trophy, though.

Just watched the highlights of the Chelsea Man City game...after Hazard scored that free kick, the replays were on and Danny Murphy comes out with, "well, it's not even a good free kick really, the Keeper should do better". He's put it straight across goal and put it in the bottom corner, he couldn't have done much better with it. The Keeper never had a chance! What do these lads get paid for, I think they just spout opinions for the sake of it half the time lol

Don't really like Murphy as a pundit but I would have to agree with him on this one. That's the only side of the goal the goalkeeper should be covering, the wall should cover the other side unless he bends it up and over the wall which is a good free kick but you can't just come up and place it not even in the top corner.

Surely you have to give credit to Hazard for fooling the keeper though? Let's be honest, it's right in the bottom corner, if Mahrez puts that in all we're talking about is him giving the keeper "the eyes". Hazard's only aim is to put the free kick in the back of the net, he does that, so it's a solid free kick. It wasn't even a case of Murphy saying "the keeper should do better" he said "it's not even a good free kick", which just isn't true, as it went in?

I'm not trying to be pedantic here I just thought he sounded quite petulant, but like you said, which I agree with, I'm not a fan of Danny Murphy as a pundit either.
