All good for me, really thought we would struggle against a Palace side that have a very good Plan A. Palace have proved to be a very good side since Pardew arrived and play to a style that suits them. Probably the funniest thing is Pardew losing it after being out thought by Don Claudio, he had been giving it the plenty of the goals line to the press with no chance of a nil nil etc. Palace came with a plan to sit back and catch us on the break hoping we would over commit We didn't we tried a few things switching wingers,Mahrez in the hole, Jeff up front until we broke the deadlock and though it came from a mistake the through ball from Mahrez and finish from Vardy was top class and as good as anything you will see in the PL this weekend. The first goal was crucial and until then Palace offered little going forward. It is a telling fact that Palace have lost all the games they have gone behind in showing the lack of a plan B. We had the answers and Pardew didn't hence the hissy fit last week it was a bloke getting a red card after two clear yellows and  yesterday  when he realized he had been out thought by CR the throw in was the last straw with CR doing nothing wrong it was our ball and not sure how that can be deemed disrespectful to anyone.

Have a good mate who supports Palace and he summed it up perfectly, Palace came with a game plan that had them happy to score none and that is what they got. It is to our credit that we worked out a way round this plenty have not.

I called it before the game that Cabaye actually does very little to influence games and that we would nullify him. Can't remember anything he did all game

You did mate

And were spot on. Cabaye was rubbish really wasn't he. I thought he was better than that.

Last season it took us 29 games to reach 19 points.

This season, it's taken 10.

Let that sink in for a moment.

On Boxing day last season we had 10 (TEN) points!

you would hope so yes!!!! (I think Spurs were eighth in the table at Easter in 1951 and still got relegated....!!)

In the 1930s, Man City won the league one season and got relegated the next. Keeping my fingers crossed that Jose equals the record!

Away at West Brom we will be hitting them on the break so maybe the crossing issue won't be a problem

I expect wba will play like the away team.

When they're at home to a side they will consider to be on their level? Pulis is dullness incarnated, but he's not quite that dull.

We've taken 41 points from our last 19 games - that's 82 points over a whole season, which would've got you 2nd place last year, over half a season!!!! That's just ridiculous.

I think you're being slightly optimistic. I'm going for 76 points, which will make us 3rd based on last season. Vital that we don't lose to Man U, home or away though, or we may have to settle for 4th.

Nah even Pardew said there was nothing the handball shout, Zaha went between two players and Fuchs stuck his leg out then pulled it away, there was thigh on thigh contact, but not much and Zaha was clearly looking for it and theatrically threw himself to the ground, daft thing about is if he had tried to stay in his feet he would have been in a great position.

We've all seen those given and not given, interesting to see what motd team think about it.

Danny Murphy sucks. After the last England game, he said that Vardy didn't have enough class. ( or words to that effect. He is full of bs. I think I even prefer Shearer!

Zaha may have had a case as there was slight contact however attempting to run between a tight gap between Schlupp and Fuchs and throwing yourself to the ground hasn't helped his cause. Ian Wright was a palace lad he didn't think Fuchs incident was handball, Ian's a great pundit incidentally.

If you watch it closely, the contact comes after he start to go down which means it's a dive.

55/1 to be relegated.

5/1 to finish top 6.

Loving this season.

Love this. Before the season started, Rodney Marsh speaking on Talk BS, said he had a "mate" who'd put 100 grand on City getting relegated!

Put 20 quid on us being top 6 in preseason, 250/1, think I'm going to put it towards a new car

Great bet!

I'm not a gambler, too much of a pessemist, but with that sort of return maybe you should think of some insurance policy bet so you are certain to win- in case Vardy gets injured, Claudio decides to finish 7th instead of 6th to avoid Eurocup etc.

Good luck!

There's been an awful lot of slagging off of Mike Dean on here, but he wasn't half good for us yesterday. Three penalty shouts, with all three debatable. Nice one Mike..

Ageed. We haven't had the best of 50-50 decisions previously from Mike Dean.

Yesterday he reffed the game in a balanced even handed way as you expect PL officials to do.On 3 or 4 occasions he didn't award what appeared to be free kicks to City but he was up with play out in the middle,I wasn't !

Having seen MOTD this morning I agree with previous posters,Dean got the crucial decisions right. The BBC need to send the commentator and Murphy on a course to learn the rules of the game.

We've defended set pieces much better against a physical side, that shows we're improving on that side of things.

However, think we still lose the ball a lot unnecessarily - from defence to midfield.

I don't think so.

We won the league in 1951!

Am I the only one who was a little disappointed with us after we went in front yesterday.

Palace obviously came with the plan of not committing forward, we drew them out after we scored but never seemed to take real advantage on the break.

Happy with the result just felt a little frustrated.

Wow.. 250/1 are great odds, closest i got was i put $10 on at 26/1 top 6 and $10 at 50/1 to win the league(capital) cup.

I'm pretty sure the rule about fouling has nothing to do with contact. If he falls over on purpose and isn't tripped it's not a foul.

You can't have a case just because there's contact. He didn't have a case at all, he's a cheat and was rightly booked.

It was really strong refereeing from Mike Dean. Even if there was contact Zaha went down in a ridiculously unnatural way which led MD to believe that he was trying to dupe. If there was sufficient contact there'd be no need to alter your fall. You see the handballs given but it would've been harsh. I'd have been claiming it if the shoe was on the other foot

Okazaki had come on so it was back to our first half performances of hanging on but this time in the second half.
