weller54 Posted 18 November 2015 Author Posted 18 November 2015 That explains the amazing second half performances then. Another stroke of genius from Ranieri if he 's got her involved. Bet Rachel 's got a stroke of genius!
Drew Peacock Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 Bet Rachel 's got a stroke of genius! I was anticipating a reply like that to come. Oh no, bad choice of words. It's turning into carry on football.

deep blue Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 It's natural to be concerned if we lose Vardy, but are we over-reacting? O'neill's squad was very thin but when we had injury crises the reserves manned up and we generally pulled through. Given the incredible team spirit that percolates through our current squad, is it being over-optimistic to believe that the same phenomenon could recur?
Drew Peacock Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 I'm so predictable.. Sorry! But funny also. I'll leave it there so we can let the more serious conversation continue.
Guest ttfn Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 I don't like Mahrez at 10. I'd far prefer him to be on the right, so much so it's probably worth sacrificing a player elsewhere in order for him to be effective (as we seem to have been doing with Okazaki's role). In the event that Vardy can't play, I'd probably shift Okazaki into Vardy's role and move somebody else into the Sacrificial Shinji role. I suspect (based on very little) Kramaric is not tactically aware of tireless enough to play that role in the way we'd want it played and Ulloa off the front has been tried before and been dire every time. As such I'd be tempted to bring King in - I don't like him in behind the striker either but we use that player totally differently to what we've done previously and I think his attributes are well suited there, his simple passing style ideal for the way we use that role to shuffle the ball out to the wingers when we win it back in the opposition half. Obviously the alternative is we pick Ulloa and Okazaki and play as we did at West Brom, but as I said in that post-match thread we seemed to have far less of a link between midfield and attack with Ulloa and another striker in there. I think if we want to keep the same style, Okazaki has to do the Vardy job and we need to find somebody else to run around winning the ball back and getting free kicks in the opposition half. But I expect Vardy will be fit anyway.
Corky Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 What do we reckon Lawro's prediction will be? I reckon 1-0 Newcastle. "Leicester have been great this year but they can't keep on winning and Newcastle have found some form so I fancy them to nick it".
Aus Fox Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 Vardy has a bruised hip. Just a bruised hip, get a bag of frozen peas on it and he'll be good to go on Saturday. If for some reason the peas don't work, (can't see why it wouldn't ). Then I'd go Kramaric and Ulloa, Kranarid is busting for a chance and could take the Geordies by surprise. Playing away we could be limited to a couple of clear cut opportunities and I think I would back Kramaric over Shinji to put them in the net. In other news after the rave reviews our Jeff got this week, I would start him, hopefully confidence high. If Ulloa does play then Albrighton needs to play too. So Mahrez left on the bench. The rest of the team picks itself.
NewEnglandFox Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 If Vardy can't go I'm now really excited about this KasperSimpson Morgan Huth FuchsAlbrighton DD Kante MahrezSchluppUlloa I think Schlupp is our next best counter attacking speedster and very dangerous running up the middle. I now prefer it to any Okazaki lineup.
weller54 Posted 18 November 2015 Author Posted 18 November 2015 Vardy has a bruised hip. Not a bruised tip, after Rachel's half time handjob?
Phube Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 If Vardy is out, I'd go crazy and drop Mahrez to put both Albrighton and Dyer on the wings to supply more crosses to Ulloa (+ other). Bringing on Mhrez as an impact sub for Dyer when Newcastle are tired.
Drew Peacock Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 Not a bruised tip, after Rachel's half time handjob? It's funny how everyone is ignoring this conversation and carrying on with the very valid and relevant points. I've loving it though. Carry on!
Stuliasz Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 Don't get too excited, Mike Jones is the referee. http://www.premierleague.com/content/premierleague/en-gb/matchday/matches/2015-2016/epl.match-preview.html/newcastle-vs-leicester

Bringing on Mhrez as an impact sub for Dyer when Newcastle are tired. I'm surprised a couple of people have suggested dropping Mahrez. He's a pretty decent crosser himself and the recipient of 4 goals from Albrighton (3 officially). It's not hard to imagine another decoy and ghost situation with Leo, Mahrez, and Albrighton like we saw twice at West Brom. I will admit I'm cooling on Dyer.
whoareyaaa Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 Read in one of the papers that Vardys team mates have hinted he will start probably BS.
